Iirc the error code is 28.

Secondary valve throttle actuator?

Not sure what it does but bike feels weak and pretty much can't go above 140km.

Can someone teach me how to get into dealer mode?

I don't know which cable to short

Secondary throttle valve and injectors open at higher rpm. That's why you can't go faster. Have you downloaded the service manual? If not DIY, bring in for throttle body servicing. Think cost around $300.

Yes, i've downloaded the service manual but the pdf scans are too old and blur.

Cant see much from there.

Its possible to DIY the throttle body?

Which buy shop do you go?

The one that i use to go doesn't do big bike.

I am thinking to go planet motor.

Noted bro. :) Will try it during my next service.

The injector cleaner is pour into fuel tank not EO. Why need to wait for next service?

The service manual I downloaded from http://www.servicemanualsgsxr.com/ has super clear photos. Can DIY but must have time and equipment. Friend did at HKL but they did not re-adjust the STVA sensor.

Like that means i should try another shop instead of HKL?

I've downloaded from the same site too but its for k5 600, not sure which model you are riding so yours might be a different service manual.

never re-adjust the sensor = fault indicator still on?

Mine K7 so diff manual. You can try to cross ref the newer models. Some portion same.

Not re-adjust will give wrong readings. Fault indicator is cannot detect sensor or sensor faulty. Maybe you can try clearing the fault code and see if error returns.

You can try other workshops and give feedback :) I will be doing my own throttle body cleaning - doesn't look too difficult and for fun / experience.

I have a used PC3 USB for GSXR600/750 for sale, complete with manuals, cd, cables, etc. Part number is 343-411. Maybe suitable for other Suzuki models like GSR400/600/750 since connectors are same. Pls do your own research. Looking at $230.

I'm looking for aftermarket rider's seat. Brands like Corbin & Sergant. Anyone using?

The solution to the sticky throttle issue: STP Carb Spray Cleaner

http://i1065.photobucket.com/albums/u382/raymondsg/Silverwing/Lubricants/E78435AF-383B-49AD-845D-EB8EC7FACE16-2104-0000027F5FD93B02.jpg

Remove air box and clean throttle valve and secondary throttle valve with this and cloth. 1 hour job. Removes all the grime causing the stickiness.

You can try other carb cleaner like 3M and Liquid-Moby but this is cheaper at less than $10.

Does it solve my Secondary valve throttle actuator problem?

Not sure where is the throttle valve and secondary throttle valve.

Probably gonna read up the service manual first when i have time in the weekend.

Thanks!

I think I had the same throttle issue as Pek88

First, follow the service manual on checking where's the fault. Cleaning the throttle body is always good as your STVA operates the top valves; if it's sticky, it's going to cause the actuator to work harder. Usually, it's the lower primary valves that get really dirty due to the spray of the secondary injectors above. Now can even hear the STV working.

Do he also has the same error code?

How did he manage to fix it?

Bike shop or DIY?

Just changed my cheapo ebay handle bar grips to the BMW ones. Shiok. Used soap water and its sliding around a little now. Hopefully sticks when it dries up hehehehe.

His is different issue from yours but same as mine. Not sure whether it's fixed though.

Actually depends whether you are a handyman or prefer to spend some money for somebody to solve. The steps from the service manual for your code 28 error are appended for your ref :)

I just changed too. Price has came down due to weak Euro but unfortunately not the bike prices. Did not use soap and took me some time to put them on.

Anybody using quick-shifter and any recommendations? Coming from a scooter rider all along, gear changing not natural nor smooth for me.
