k4 1000,how abt the front size?

does the spocket size affect the speedo reading if change to different size?

You will a bit of speedo error , if you change to a different spocket size.

a down size in the fornt and rear give you a higher reading in your meter, than a up size on front and down size on rear give you a lower speed reading.

Normally ppl go for a better pick up , they will chose a down one in front , up two on the rear.

02 and 03 R1 look basically the same and both are EFI. Difference is that 02 has headlights on/off switch while 03 is automatic on. Another difference is that 02 has no hazard lights function while 03 has...

Hi bro, is your R1 fuel consumption high in the first place? Or do u have any idea how much is your fuel consumption?

cause the only thing i can think of is that your bike carb's jetting needs to be changed. that's why the idling dies off when idling. u couldn't throttle cause the jetting is somewhat stuck or maybe worn off.

I think my fuel consumption is quite high. Previously i only hit 170km before reserve, is this considered high?

Anyway thanks for the advice, i will ask for my jetting to be checked when i go motorshop, btw any good motorshops to recommend for carb R1s?

case 1:

bro,did u tried cleaning n oil the airfilter by urself??i face the same situation when i over oiled my filter....bt my engine choke once the bike starts....lasted for abt 2 days of ridding then its back to normal....

case 2:

i do my self cleaning of carb...then dunoe accidentally adjusted wat thinggy tat coz my bike to drop rpm whenever when it hit 5k no matter which gear im in....ride to the workshop...then found out tat i narrowed my air vent or dunoe wat it call lolx...

abv is juz my exp when ridding ts 00R1....hope it helps u...bt no fear if u r bringing it to the wksp coz ur mech sure noes wats wrong....good luck:cheer:

i didnt oil the air filter myself, so i guess case 1 is out.

as for case 2, i doubt so as it happens quite randomly.

Anyway thanks for the help, seems like alot of mech dunno whats wrong. So far i have tried changing the fuel pump, startup coil, spark plugs, plug cable, battery.

The sad thing is change liao still problem persist, very sianz, hoping to find a good shop with good mech to analyse whats wrong.

Seems like an electrical issue.

Perhaps remove the fan and the lights connections.

yes i agree that its an electrical issue also but if u remove the fan and lights connection that means he will have poor cooling system and poor visibility to other road users which is dangerous and also an offence.

Its best u bring your bike down to your bikeshop to have it checked

What say u
