Me just came back from australia holiday with the wife and kids, visiting my parents and brothers cousins uncles aunties whom all migrated there, left me here in SGP.

maybe i will migrate there too... PP2 very draining, workin alomost 12hr shift everyday without OT :nono: there engineers earn min AUD$51k per year work 8 hour shifts only :cheer:

where they are staying there are 3 tracks and track days are 1 of a kind, you don't sweat in your suit and bikes are only slightly cheaper than SGP but cars are a whole lot cheaper

Bring mi along can....... i also wan to migrate

yo bro how are u now? Hope u are ok now ....

by the way, to share my view on this matter, shadowboyz had his full system installed and to him, its does help to bring down the heat alot. Guess its the only way for the time being :goodluck:

yup full system is the only way to bring the temp down. when i installed mine when i had my bike, the temp went down ALOT even during the day time under the scorching sun. heard that u can also "wrap" the pipe to sorta like bring the temp down but i am not sure or seen anyone do it.

street legal full system don also have the catalyst ??

or must have the catalyst than approve ??

Do correct me if I'm wrong...In the eyes of ROV, there are no legalised full exhaust system for all bikes except Honda Super4. You can have a combination of street legal end can of different brand to a totally seperate brand of headers. From what I noticed of my frens, most of them r using the approved street document for the end can, to cover up the fact that their headers r not OEM.

But then again, aftermarket headers does not come witht the catalyst. When designed and engineered, the main purpose of the catalyst is to pass the strict emission standard imposed by the US enforcers...

I have yet to see street legal document for headers. I hope my assumption r wrong, anyone??

If you gut out the catalytic converter (which treats the exhaust before it leaves the bike and removes a lot of the pollution), wrap up your pipe with heat insulator and use coolant such as Maxima Cool-Aide, Water Wetter or Engine Ice, the heat problem should be reduced. However, gutting out your cat converter is an illegal modification and therefore not approved...

aiya gut out also no one will noe mah.. so wun consider illegal... :cheeky: :cheeky:

so far i only heard of super4 having legal full system

anyway i first few days get bike same as u, my first thought when i rode the bike was "i'm gonna be impotent"

but after a few weeks my heat tolerance level for my groin area level up also. now i usually wear jeans when going out and 3-quarters if i go near-by coffeeshop.

gutting out the cat "lowers" the temperature, but sometimes i wonder to myself issit that my mind is playing tricks on me.

its hard to know if the previous owner removed the cat. before, most say that after removing cat, the base sound will be deeper. seriously, i didn't notice any diff...

Ha ha .... well reason being is that heat reduces the performance of a bike or car. And because of this reason, the modern bikes and technology realised that in order to disperse heat out from the engine faster, their manufacturers decided to use aluminium, (aluminium alloy or what i not very sure) as the material for its chasis (besides lighter weight for sharper handling). Therefore the unbearable heat that comes out from yamaha.

But if were to compare with why Honda (same with underseat exhaust also) is not so hot, i really do not have the answer or explanination also.

What say u
