There are three types of brake rotors: solid, semifloating, and full floating. With a solid rotor a single piece of metal is bolted to the wheel. With semifloating, you have a center piece and a separate outer part that the brake pads touch and the two are connected by a bunch of round "buttons" that allow a small amount of movement between the two. With full floating, the braking surface is relatively loose so that it can move around to hopefully become in perfect alignment with the pads. Full floating rotors are less likely to pulse than solid or semifloating rotors. Most race bikes have full floating rotors. Full floating rotors make noise at low speeds as the parts move around, since they're kind of loose. Semifloating rotors don't make the noise.

I looked through the web, there is nothing about how full floater can minimizing highside...Regarding bike will "lift up" more upon squeezing the front brake? How the bike

lift up??Wat i mean usually the bike will dive down....

We dont usually brake during corners unless trail braking which I dont think many of us can do it...Cos I tried is hard to control throttle and brake as the same time....

I read an article about racer using brake quick and hard because braking will increase timing, only acceleration will reduce it...

Is a good debate so we can learn from each other....No offence guys..

So are the 04 models are full floating disc brakes?:cheeky:

Kambing ti ti, yesterday I went to Planet Motors and saw your green ZX R1 bike there taking a shower in the rain. Why haven't collect back? Anyways, the RXZ that Ah Chong recommended was not at his shop. I had to travel to Tampines Street 23 to have a look at it. FD plate and the owner offered me $650 for it. The bike was not in its best condition (FD plate mah) so my brother decided not to get it. I didn't see that many small bikes for sale at Ah Chong's shop either. Any other places to recommend???

did u see my Rossi bike while u were there?

bro i think less plates the noise will be louder.. not the other way round..do u know anybody still selling supertrapp? i hardly see them nowadays. even scrams hardly use them nowadays..last time can see alot of XR4 using them.. but nothing beat the sound of a vmax on a supertrapp. damm sweet..

Nope bro. i am not mistaken. Less plate less air flow, hence less noise. 4 to 6 disk are normally used for stock jetting. For extreme case, 10 to 20 disk can be used for stage 7.

You can check with Chong Aik, they are the local agent for Supertrapp.

The SET valve need freq adjustment. It located at the right bottom side of the bike. The cable tension is very sensitve, slight tightness or loosness will cause the F1 light to light up. What I recommend is to remove the SET valve and disconnect pin 30 from the ECU and the problem solve.
