How bout HPs stuffed between your ear and helmet while riding? Any offence?

i think u have to fight ur case as car drivers using bluetooth?

anyway even so, they can charge u with dangerous driving if they found u riding/driving in unsafe manner? somemore for bike u stuff beside helmet its easier to say u r not focusing compare to drivers on bluetooth. that what i feel.

To clear things up. I happened to stop by a TP at a junction. Asked him if it was alright if I were to use my phone when the light is red.

It depends on the officer if he wants to make life difficult for you or not. Most of the time they will just close one eye. But don't try to push your luck by using it till the light turns green.

hi, i personally have had this incident before. was using hp while at stop light. looked around skali saw tp looking at me..rode off when green man and he asked me to stop.

BUT he did not fine me for that. instead he fined me for other stuff on my bike (illegal p-plate and visor). so using a hp in this situation only attracts them to you more instead of others.

IF you are using it while riding with one hand, that is a definite no go. kena left right center. take care !

using hp on the road is not safe either, its like doing smth to make urself get caught. how they wan catch u depend how they wan choose the rule and how u fight against the rule in the event of appeal.

what for? lol.

Okay this is anecdotal, plus happened years ago. Colleague recounted his friend's friend's experience. He was in a car (engine running), talking on the phone, at some carpark or some non-busy place. TP signaled him to move a bit forward to make space, so he did, WHILE STILL ON THE PHONE. What do you know, fine + points both kena.

You dare to try answering the phone on the road, even if your bike is stationary? Feel free to try and report back the results.

no..unless u squeeze ur hp in-between ur ear n helmet n start yakking away throughout your journey n u get caught.

Do not trouble trouble unless trouble troubles you

was told by driving centre lecturer never to do this.

Accident can happen anytime, anywhere.

However ask yourself, do you want to fall at 120km/h or 60km/h?

unless your phone is nokia 8210 and you stuff it all the way in that when he stop you he didnt notice it =)

Of course it is an offense.

Either you are riding and concentrating on the road, that means waiting for the green

traffic light. Or handling a call or text message and do not know WTF is going on around you.

Stuffing a phone between your helmet and ear, is low class, and tells me

That the helmet is too big anyway, so will not offer optimum protection when you need it.

The TP can only book you if the offence meets all (not 1, not 2 but all) these conditions :

- you must be holding your phone

- you must be communicating ie, sms or speaking

- the vehicle must be moving

Posted

So making a text message when in the middle lane (lane 2), and fail to notice the light change red to green because too busy with phone and not the traffic situation, then block the lane, is this not willfully obstructing traffic?

I believed that constitute to another kind of offence.

Then, if you panicked and tried to move off while the phone is still on your hand, make that a double. :)

ever heard driver driving, holding hp on the stearing wheel n got book.

more ridiculous, driver reach to take hp, saw by tp n got book.

however i'm not sure how true these incident are, just that tp can book u just by holding the hp, and you dont have to be communicating.

as long you're holding to your phone, they assume you have used it during the journey or for whatever reason. else, why is there a need to hold the phone in the first place?

Not true.

I happen to have a TP talk at my workplace and using phones while stationary does not attribute to the offence. Only MOVING and USING a COMMUNICATION device counts. Smoking NO. Holding iTouch NO. Holding iPhone YES.

Many same situations can have different outcome depending on the enforcing person...

Certain areas are left grey for the ease of enforcement by these personnel...

To me, don't take chances on these grey areas..

Stop by the side of the road and switch off the engine before answering any calls from your sweet hearts or boss...

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB
