Hi there, just get my ybr, 2nd day bike feels very draggy.. Went to LAB.. Mech say clutch plate burn, change it, nw my bike can't go more than 100km... Feels like engine wanna explode.. Vibrate very strong.. Rpm at 8k when I try hit 100km.. Can any kind bros tell wat to do?? Tnx in advance...

 

Oh ya... Any of bro change to ur handle? Tot of changing it to a lower one.. Ori too high la....

Normal. My bike also rpm 8k @100km/h. Can you describe the sound and the symptoms?

It's rattling sound... Just come back with my wife from jurong to bedok to and fro... at 65km/h at 6.5k rpm..she still can feel the vibrate on her leg stepping the pegs.. Reach bedok feet felt numb... Haiz... Izzit dat bad this YBR????????..I was like,,,, "what the fcuk!!!" only 65 n my wife complain leg felt numb... Other bike she never say anything... She even say my privious rxs is much smoother.....

No, its not. YBR is a very comfortable bike, you will not feel vibrations. I think you go to another trusted shop and check it out. With vibrations like that, anything can be wrong.

Bro! I try to pump again today cannot sia. I try 3 different petrol station, 2 shell, 1 caltex. The front tire totally cannot pump. I poke the nozzle in no matter how hard, the pump don't want to pump inside the tire. And i think more air come out that now when i steer, my front wheels very sluggish the controls, not sharp.

 

Then for 2 different stations, the back tire, when i pump finish then pump again, got dunno how many error messages. When can pump, it will 'over-pump' air, then will slowly let out the air, both processes will take damn long. I tries caltex and shell respectively, both rear wheel this happened.

 

I fit the nozzle into the tire valve, fits nicely leh. But the valve is kinda funny as you described to sand off the rubber but my bike its RIM>RUBBBER>METAL>TIRE VALVE STEM. So i went to sand off the metal a bit also no difference. The air can come out but when i try to pump, the air don't wanna go in. When i push the thing in, i can hear air escaping, then when i push it in fully, no more air escaping. But the machine dun wanna pump.

 

I try to use bicycle pump to pump, no air want to go inside. All the air like 'stuck' in the pump. Any idea how much a new valve and labour will cost?

hi all. Riding the same bike as you guys. There's friends and mechanics that tell me YBR's major flaw is its magnetic coil. Anyone can verify this? Also i met an uncle riding YBR just now and said his bike making lotsa problems. Said 1 year change magnetic coil many times. I know he must be joking or exagerating but, just share your opinions and experience. Thanks lots.

Yes, the magnetic coil will give problems. My spare parts shop uncle tell me its because the unlike the older bikes like RXk, RXZ, the coil is submerged in engine oil. When the oil is hot because of the engine, the coil can spoil faster. Makes perfect sense. So you just make sure your bike don't always overheat. But if it keeps spoiling, then you better change the CDI.

Thanks for that info. Turns out to be true eh. Btw, any of our spare parts similar to rxz? Minor wear and tear parts like steering cone bearings, gaskets, clutch plates etc. Im not sure if sending the bike to jb for repairs will be a good idea.

I think should be no problem servicing in malaysia. They should have the parts.

hi bros, what are the symptoms of a spoiled magnetic coil? my bike suddenly got no battery power. can still kick start tho. still got lights when bike is running. only feels weaker. needs to know if the bike is charging or not. havent get that done yet. maybe want to change battery first but if the bike is not charging then the battery is going to be flat again....

I don't know about the others but for me, its when i electric start, i can hear the starter motor very strong, but the engine don't wanna start. When kick start, can kickstart, no problem. But as the weeks go by, it gets harder and harder to kickstart. Once get super hard to kickstart, you will start to pushstart. Pushstart also will start getting difficult. Then if you wait long enough, the bike will die when idling, you have to keep revving like some idiot on the road.

btw I went to the uncle workshop. He said if the coil burned, the bike can't start. So he changed for me my battery. the old one rusty here and there. but in the end, the fuse short! darn! but it's oklah, the battery and fuse costs only $28. Not as painful as my gixxer battery. haha....

 

and also my bike FC seems to be great!. full tank can manage up till 430km without hitting reserves yet. And I am riding between 100-120km/h with 7-8k in rpm on PIE cos i live in the west and Work in the East.So far a good thumbs up for this bike.

Hi guys, any one encounter this problem before?

Bike running OK until it starts to rain and bike engine starts to choke, as if out of breath, keeps coming after it goes off after awhile. Speed up again , problem comes again. even when I clutch in, try to accelerate, it happens. Wait awhile, problem goes off. these only happens during rainy days. Anyone knows what could be the possible faults? Thanks.

You got check your air box and air filter? If you never like clean for some time, this happens because water will enter the box and cause it to choke. Happened to me before, but i don't really have this problem during rainy days. Happened years ago, but not much anymore because i always clean out my air box and air filter now and then.

 

If still okay, you need to check your carb settings.

bike currently unable to electric start but can kick start. Battery and starter motor is okay. When i tried to e-start, there's a ticking sound near the fuse box/battery area. Anyone can share what could be the problem? Wasted my money buying a new starter motor. Could it be rectifier, coil, cdi or just a simple fuse?

Okay. When you hit the electric start, does your starter motor spin? If it does spin, you hear your engine spinning up but your engine does not start, you need to check your magneto coil and in my case, the CDI. Simply put, i could kickstart the damn thing in one kick but when you electric start, i could hear the engine cranking, the starter motor working, the spark plugs firing but the engine just would not turn on.

 

If it does not spin but you hear almost nothing, then you need to clutch in and/or check your clutch switch. The clutch switch wears out easily and you have to play with it. It it the electrical wire that is located at your clutch lever.

 

If you are certain your starter motor is screwed, i can sell you my 100% working used starter motor for 15 or 20 bucks. Very easy to replace. Last time i also thought my starter motor spoil so i just bought a new one, so i got this old spare one. I also rather you not buy a first hand starter motor because tell you the truth, this kinda thing where got spoil so easily one if you take care of it.

Coil or CDI spoil, you need to see the symptoms. Every bike is different, so its hard to describe also. So far, all my bike's problems are all electrical related.

You can try Ah Boy. Normally, if you want to mount a top box, you will mount it to the default luggage carrier that comes with the bike.
