Hey guys. Would like to ask for you guys opinion, what are the best Class 2 sportsbike for me? I intend to get 600cc and yes, i've never upgrade to Class 2A before so would be difficult for me to handle if i jump straight to 1000cc. Yeaah and im small in size. Hgt 159 and weight around 50 plus. Not sure if i can handle them. And and is class 2 bikes hard to maintain ? Any specific model to recommend ? R6 ? Suzuki ? Thanks guys. .

All 600cc sports bikes are similar. Deciding factor is which one looks best to you.

Maintenance all similar. Tires, oil, filters. Standard stuff.

Ducati 848 not cosidered.

Past: KDX200, LC4 400, LC4 620, GSXR750WR

Present: CBR900RRY, Gas Gas EC250, XR250L, XR250RV, XR400 (motard-ed), NX650 Dominator

You can make any transition.

The only thing is not to get in over your head and try anything funny until you are very sure that you've gotten used to the bike, and know full well how it accelerates, turns and brakes.

just get whichever 600cc that u like most.

ya maybe initially u cant control it well enough, but after a few weeks, im sure u will get the hang of the power and u enhance ur knowledge as the years goes by.

just dun let ur ego get ahead of u and start out slow.

shldnt be a problem

overall if u can move from a stationary position and brake b4 impact, and not dropping ur bike while doing e-brake, it means u can handle it. just take ur time to get use to it.

Try to learn how to push and manhandle the bike. Easier to reverse the bike into a lot by pushing it in.

Reversing on tiptoe is no fun. One little slip and down you go.

Remember... Mind over machines... Everything for a start is never easy. Take advice from the old birds here & make sure you can control & understand the machine well before wanting & trying to fly..

Steps to do a proper KNNBCCB with middle finger.

1. Bow down slightly, looking intensely at objective

2. Like a raging bull, hop and jog slowly towards objective

3. Take your left palm and slap it hard on the right mid-arm with a SLAP!

4. With charisma, raise right arm, whilst showing middle finger (with left palm trapped in bend right arm)

5. Shout! KNNBCCB

usually the drops will come at the slow slow moments.. like pushing your bike at car parks..

agreed.. especially those tight and slow corners which you could do with ease with your 2b..

turning radius is a totally different..

Hehe depends on the situation.

In MSCP i rather sit on my bike and bring it in to the lot.

Do what u feel most comfortable.

Depending on what bike, weight for class 2 need not be heavy. Just be aware of the power and take it easy.

Maintenance.. for sport bikes, 600cc n 1000cc not big diff.. i believe theres no diff.. except for tyres as 600cc is a lil smaller for the rear... power more or less except the top end.. we humans are "program" to adapt certain things quite fast, so don't worry about the big jump from 2B to class 2...:cheeky:..

As for what bike model/brand which is good.. not easy to compare coz we don have the luxury to test every single model in the market.. unless u go into details and particular, example short or long stroke, V or inline engine.. i believe most of us like the bike to our own preference like the shape n colour of the n most important is the bike n price is right whether it fits ur budget..

Or u can watch youtube for specs review, almost every latest model videos are uploaded..

Hopes it helps a lil... :thumb:

Yeah i've been thinking which model to choose from. And i know the maintenence from Class 2b to class 2 is a big difference. :) So must really know how to budget and stuff. And how much do you need to earn a month to own a class 2 bike ?

I made my jump from 135cc to 919cc, didn't own any 400cc bike in between... at first not use to the wt and fell off bike quite a few times... yes, turning part you have to take extra precaution...

How much do you need to earn a month to own a class 2 bike ? Very good question, very much depends on which bike you choose, let say you take PB1 CB1000 or YZF-R6 (2004) would be cheap judging from the previous sales they ranging from 7k and below (subjective)... (*depends on your down payment) your monthly installment could be less than 200SGD...

bike is a machine without soul, rider would inject new life and character to this machine
