My experience would be the faulty side stand sensor.. Engine died off while riding in a gradual manner and no engine brake felt. Its like putting it on neutral gear. Can only start the bike after 10 mins or so and pray it doesn't happen till reach home. Happened 3x though.

Experience it on my FJR. How do i solve it? Bypass the sensor wire which means ur bike can still engage 1st gear with side stand on.

 

So the fuel pump and side stand sensor can consider bro.. Hopefully urs is the stand issue so easy to fix.

The 1100 series has common issues of Hall Sensor breakdown. It's really a wear and tear issue and the humidity of our climate. Experience it a couple of years back with the RT 1100 in Ipoh highway. Engine died after being caught in a big rain. It won't start after numerous cranks. A quick changeout in KL and it was all back to normal.

Is there a way to determine if its the hall sensor?

Would hall sensor be DIY-placable?

it's hard to say which ride is suitable... coz we just anyhow go...

 

if the rider can take it.. he will follow, if not, he will help to take photo for the rest..

A ride is a ride.. And im GAME for anything! As long there's a couple of big bikes ard it will be alright (so i dun get stuck alone hehe)..

And of cos if time permits as well. Do let me know early.

Some of the features on the bike which u saw at Loois might be an optional feature at PML where u will need to top up an amount to get them. The radio for e.g i guess is already with the bike like RT model. But other than tat im not pretty sure. (havent seen how the 16GT in form yet)

As far as i know parallel importer like Loois take in full acc with BMW and tats y the price is higher. Prices for PI is usually lower to attract customers. How low depends on that particular shop.

 

But hey.. I might be wrong too. The 16 GT is indeed a killer!
