Hi

 

Just check with you why is it not recommended to connect direct to the battery. I had not problems with all my other bikes connecting directly.

 

I don't really like the turning off the gps when I turn off the switch. Rather I like to keep it turn on all the way and unplug it at the end of the day.

 

My view is that GPS or the mini USB power, it might not be a good idea to connect to the batt because if one forget to power the gadget and leave it on the bike, the batt can be drained. Another thing is that the points are still live, and hence can short although a fuse will take care of that. With the built-in power port under the R1200XX headlight, the power will be cut off with the ignition.

@maddog   at least confirm that bike is from PML and not a PI..post 12695 i already mentioned the benefit of PML bike   the rest of the check is just like buying another 2nd hand bike..oh yeah make

Brake pad, can go motoworld to change SBS.. not costly and braking power is there.

To the yellow 1100 or 1150GS rider with sideboxes, two midpipes without endcans who exited at CTE moulmein at about 1750hrs,

 

What were you thinking when you went straight on a Turn-left only lane at the junction of Serangoon Road and Balestier Road? On top of that, you went so fast. Had i turned left on the go straight-turn left lane a second earlier, we would have crashed. Ride recklessly all you want, but don't bring me down please. I wanna go home alive.

 

To the rest, i didn't mean to intrude and no offense meant. Just wanted to say what i needed to that person.

Most bike shop connect direct to batt.

Some make it detachable. When required for city riding then slide IU into mount & plug into 12v socket for power.

When on touring leave IU at home.

sure thing..but really i am the loser, everytime i stopped by for a FOC cuppa, i end up buying accessories or gears that is 100 times or 1000 times more than a cuppa at nearby kopitiam...o_O

Yes indeed it's very expensive coffee. Sources told me you just picked up some carbon fiber braces from PML today.
