Fazer600 differences

Hi all,

 

anybody knows the difference between fz6s and fz6s2?

 

I read that there are power differences between them, but what are their top speed like.

I've also read that some fz6s have the same power rating as fz6s2.

So how do I know if my fazer is of reduced power if I bought one as a 2nd hand?

fz6s is from 04-06. rounder headlight fairing. 2 pot calipers. round speedometer like a watch. swingarm have a very box shape.

fz6s2 is from 07-09. sharper headlight fairing. 4 pot brake calipers. speedometer similiar to fz1. sportier looking swingarm. MOST of them have black frame and engine.

Actually ALL S1 swingarm is silver & S2 is black. Unless you resprayed

Another way to know the difference

From Front - windshield (S1 = 1 big blardy piece, S2 also 1 piece but way smaller with 6 screw by the sides...)

From sides - S1 white swingarm squarish, S2 black not octal/hex shape

 

Colors also different for each generations.

S2 more powerful but power = petrol. So S1 FC is lesser...

i not so sure about the swingarm, but i know the last batch of fz6s1 came in black colour frame and engine casing. i saw 1 in SIM before, black frame and engine casing, but its a s1. i think in europe its common that the s1 have full black.
