I will check the fundamental things first. An air leak at the joint of the slip-on muffler will induce backfire :thirsty:

ooh is it?? well the joint to the slip on is loose though.. any idea what can be used to make the seal tight?

The correct method of sealing the exhaust joints is fitting a graphite sealing ring. It can withstand very high temperature yet remain pliable after repeated cycles of heating and cooling. If the joint of your slip-on have the same inner diameter as your stock muffler, you can get a new gasket ring from Honda.

High temperature sealant is only temporary fix, it will get harden after a while or burnt off and you will get backfire again.

To have the maximum potential of your bike performance yes you need a PC 5.You need a aftermarket air filter to match the air fuel ratio perfectly.

It may due to insufficient fuel that causes the back fire.

Backfires are usually caused by too much fuel (rich). In carbureted engines backfiring can occur in lean conditions if the timing is off, creating a misfire, and the unburnt fuel ends igniting in the exhaust.

In TS case its fuel injected so its probably running rich. I'm not sure if Super 4s run a catalytic converter that will usually absorb excess fuel.
