hello there. I am new here. Can I ask what is the top speed of vara 125 original form? With legal modification, can it improve on its acceleration on expressway?

Hi feelspeed. Sadly to say you cant feel any speed on the vara125. top speed would be 120. But i can only manage about 110. 90-100 is its cruising speed. You can change to aftermarket exhaust n such. But dont expect a lot of difference though.

U wan top speed, less acceleration. U wan acceleration, lower top speed. Depends wad u wan. Play around wif sprocket size. Most used 14/44, mine 13/43 smthg like tt...

Its at 3rd level....all the 2nd hand bikes.....at the right corner

I went there yesterday afternoon and came into this thread this morning haha.

So I did not know Looi's had vara 125s on sale.

Probably missed it because it was with the other big bikes.

I don't have any bike yet, still looking for one that match my interest and needs.

Still can't decide what bike to choose since its my first time getting bike.

 

I not really looking forward to sport bike cuz of its discomfort riding posture. I like sth with box so I can keep my bag, bike rain cover and etc.

I thinking of getting Fz16 or vara 125. vara really look nicer with box in my opinion. and it just become an ideal bike for me. As a newbie, I don't really need bike that go super high speed.

 

may i ask, does cruising speed of 90-100kph feel smooth at expressway? I notice some bike with 125cc, at 100, it will start to vibrate and engine sound seem as if sth wrong.

As vara is heavy, going at 90 or 100 you wont feel any vibrations. Its quite stable. If you dont have issue with the lack of power/speed, then vara is the best choice. Very happy i chose this. Also, once you get a vara, you can join us for weekly top ups by 2nd link or maybe some trips

No prob wif the bike maintaining 100....juz that this bike won't be able to hav burst of speed. So if u r speed demon then This bike not for u....

 

Heard Loois got at least 2 vara125 wif them...not so sure but confirm a black red bull decal FBB plate.....

Of cos, Remb koin us for topupz and meet ups even if in sg....I free till 28 dec on MC but can ride

at the end of the day, u cannot expect too much from a 125. maybe with some slight changes, u can enhance its performance a bit, but not significantly enough to convince yourself that you are on par with the big boys.

 

for eg, i changed the chain and sprockets for my own 125, and noticed the difference when riding with similar bikes during pickup and overtaking.

Correct man....it's juz a 125 but it can do wonders!!! So play around its limits will do....It still can go Thailand!!!!
