But If check no problem, will it cause problem one day because of high mileage ? Maybe he go touring

I doubt he go touring becos even if go Thailand come back 5000km, how many time can he go.. i dun noe about you but i wont go tour with this baby fz, been to kulai once feel like getting from point A to point B not to enjoy the ride. I think high chance work dispatch.

This bike is cheap to maintain n service, if i were you i would look out for any damage to chassis, fork, leaking engine case, smoke from exhaust or engine doesn't sound right. I recommend u to bring someone experience to chck for u.

Did u check your tires air pressure? Low tire pressure will induce more friction as a result of more rubber contact with the road. Other parts that needs to be service are your of course your tires if it is turning bald, your sprocket + chain, your brake fluid and brake pads and to wash your carburetor. For self servicing, you will need to lubricate your chains, if you know which part of your wheel to lubricate, you can lubricate those as well.

The next possible reason you might experiencing what you stated might be your front brake that is constantly being applied (it happened to me once and I have to remove my brake calipers to lubricate the pistons), it might be caused by your brake pistons being unable to retract properly after applying the brakes. One easy way to check if your brakes are constantly being applied is to part your bike on its mains stand, hopefully it is on a ground where your bike leans backwards. Go to your front wheel and use your hands to spin it, if your brake pistons are normal, it will be fairly easy for you to spin the wheel and it should turn for a few revolutions before coming to a stop.

There are issues with types of petrol being used but so far I have not felt any significant difference between shell 98, 95 and esso 2000. Hope this helps.

Thanks for the advise! Will try out later to check my front brakes. & is it normal when you let go the handle (on the move) the front tyre will wobble so bad? Could it be the front brake that you mention be the cause of it?

Wobbling could be caused by uneven ground or your tires running over stones or rocks, I am not sure if the constant braking effect will cause the wheels to wobble but as long as your handlebar do not wobble even while you are holding onto the handlebar, it should be fine unless there are some misalignment of your handlebar. The most obvious symptoms of front brake pistons being in a semi seized state is that you will have problems trying to even push your bike forward and you do not have to brake even whilst being on a down slope road and the bike just stays in place.

Usually down slope I still have to brake. Just that I feel my bike is so pressure. Thanks again for the advise, will check out later and update if any problem.

That is a belly pan and the head cowl, I saw this belly pan via google before but I could never find a shop that sells the shown pic, the belly pan I found is smaller and does not look as nice, as for the head cowl, you might want to try calling up uniquemotor sports, I rmb seeing a thread about fz16 accessories but I cannot seem to find the thread now. Why not ask your friend where he bought it?

Hi all

I am was planning to get a FZ16 but was told by the bike shop that new FZ16s can no longer be registered due to the new LTA regulations on exhaust emission with effect on 1 Nov.

I tried check online on this but found to news on this issues.

Is it true that new FZ16s can no longer be registered?

Thanks in advance,
