On my new old RXK I adjusted the carburetor myself because the idling rev was too low and the engine kept dying. On the first day when I rode it I didn't know, so the engine kept dying on the road and I kept trying to use kickstart for the bike. Right now I sometimes adjust again when I feel that the engine rev is too high.

 

My question is, should I be doing all this to my bike? Or should I send it to be assessed by a mechanic?

If you have no prior experience to tuning carburetor, I suggest that you bring to your mechanic. Tuning yourself could bring you further away from your desired results. Just IMO.

Hahah..are you a professional? I'm guessing the tuning screw might be loose that's why the setting keeps going off.

 

Either way if it is set up wrongly what harm will it bring to my bike?
