Hi guys,

I'm considering to upgrade to class 2 bike. So I'm wondering which 600cc sports bike will be better in terms of fuel comsumption and handling. And also the maintenance cost, insurance and road tax. Please advice me on which is better and which is not, because I'm only gonna use it as a transport bike. Wld prefer class 2 bike instead of class 2A bcos of the looks

Transport eh? Get a kapchai with sportsbike fairing.

definitely cbr600rr over the r6 - me and a buddy have swapped them with one another before and come to the same agreement.

been commuting from eunos to clementi on an '08 cbr600 for the past 1.5 years. if storage isn't a concern (meaning you are the wear backpack and ride bike kind), the cbr600 will serve you well on the road.

posture and temperature wise, not fantastic but bearable. avoid peak traffic timings where you can and you'll be happier, because it's mainly the slow lane-splitting that makes these bikes painful to ride.

many other factors to consider, like your own needs, budget, plans for the next 2-3 years etc. also, if you are open to the idea of future track sessions, the cbr600 is a great all-rounder choice.

The newer Cbr600 also has c-abs compared to r6 which basically hasn't change much so more value for money
