before you miss it.....

i assume its brand new. if yes, check your trip meter. at the 1000km mark, change your 4T engine oil. as long as its labelled '4T' and 'fully synthetic' and 'motorcycle oil', you can use it. all bike shops will sell a few brands. 1 bottle should do for a 2b bike. just go bike shop and say 'change 4T'. no need ask wat brand good, thousand replies will come to you. whether you believe more expensive brand is better is up to you, so long as its labelled 'fully synthetic 4T motorcycle oil'. personally i didn see the point of using premium brands, i used mid-priced brands last time. thereafter, perform this 4T oil change every 3000km.

if you bought second hand, i recommend you perform this oil change at next earliest opportunity. no telling when previous owner last changed the oil. thereafter, its also every 3000km.

i once had a friend just bought 2b who wasn aware of this oil change schedule. piston jammed on expressway trying to keep up with my cbr600rr  but seriously piston jam no laughing matter.

other than that, check your manual for when they recommend changing spark plug and just stick to recommendation.

once a month just plug in the tyre pump at petrol kiosk to recommended pressure after filling petrol, just to check tyre pressure is correct.

battery, if rite now you have wet batt, then check batt fluid level once a month. fill up when low. personally i recommend changing to maintenance-free, then no need bother checking, and lasts longer. it may be more expensive but it lasts longer too. then just watch out for tell-tale low batt symptoms like slow cranking or clock resets. a maintenance free should last you at least 2 years, providing no electrical faults.

make it a point to change brake pads and coolant once a year. brake pads is only estimate. check thickness is best. if screeching sound ever come out, either pebble stuck inside or you've worn the pads to the metal base.

chains shld last one year plus. again, estimate onli. to be safe change every 2 years including sprocket.

and thats mostly it. other faults will come when they come.

ride safe. if ever itchy for mods, consider spending the cash on safety gear like jackets and full face helmets first.

It's true: it's more fun to ride a slow bike fast than to ride a fast bike slow. Admittedly, though... It is MOST fun to ride a fast bike fast!
