alright ! thanks !

another question, regarding forming up, when the road marking indicates (going straight & turning left/right, going straight & turning left & right); if i'm going straight, i have to form up 2 rows right?

Wow, this is a good question. I cannot be sure of my answer, and I will check with an instructor during my next lesson and update accordingly. In the meantime, if anyone else does have the correct answer, please do share with us.

If I remember correctly, for going straight only lanes, form up in 2 rows. For any other lanes which allow going straight and turning, form up in one row only. Once again, I'm not sure of this so seniors, please do correct me if it is wrong.

If i am not wrong, if the arrow head shows two direction instead of jus one, have to form up only one row, if the arrow head is like going straight or turning right, den form up two rows..

alright, i check with the instructors; as long as u are going straight, regardless of arrow, form up 2 rows with the exception of filter lanes.

and i failed my pract 8 today :(

everything was smooth until the U-turn, i have no idea why did i went to change up while turning, end up kicking to neutral and my right leg came down :(

Interesting that CDC and SSDC does it differently. I did my 2B at CDC and my 2A at SSDC for the Super 4. It's always 1 row for multi-directional arrows for SSDC. Also, for signalling when moving off slope, CDC teaches to signal away from the kerb while for SSDC, no matter which side of the slope you are on, you always signal right to indicate that you're moving off, which means that even if you are on the right hand side of the slope, you still signal right towards the kerb instead of left away from it.

I wonder if the TPs themselves take this into account for the different driving centers while conducting the TP test since there are demerit points for wrong signalling.

Just realized that there are a lot of new riders here, and I hope this post can save some lives if I paste it in a place where it matters.

Like many of you here reading this thread, I am a new rider. 10 months passed, and getting ready for 2A. The message I have for you all here today is this:

Always, always wear your visor, especially on the Expressway.

Our instructors in school never talk about it. Noone discusses it. Noone seems to care about it. Even after things happen. I wonder why.

I would suggest, if there are any instructors reading this thread, Please let learner riders know the importance of putting down the visor while riding.

Yesterday on the BKE heading, I was keeping left and getting ready to filter out towards Dairy Farm Road when a piece of granite from a nearby truck flew into my helmet and cracked my visor. Not just a small crack. The visor is totalled.

The stone was as large as a contact lens case, and would have knocked me unconscious if not for the visor. Even with the visor on, I was still stunned, and almost lost control.

Luckily I managed to hang on and survive. Please wear your visors. They WILL SAVE YOUR LIVES.

I passed last year December and have been riding for about half a year now and I cannot agree more with regards to this statement.

Many a times I rode on expressway or areas where they are constructing road and I'll hear the distinctive thud sound of some debris hitting my visor. Imagine if I had not pulled down my visor.

Which brings up another point, why don't they emphasize the importance of visors during school lessons? Weird.

Hey guys, been on this forum for quite sometime but this is my first post. Anyway just a quick question. Are helmets required for the circuit training programme? I'll be having mine this coming sunday and I'm wondering if I should bring along a helmet.

Thanks in advance!

If you have one, it's good. If not, they do provide it at the school. Do be prepared though, the helmets there are used by many other people. :)

Perhaps they forgot. Anyway their role is more to teach u how to ride in the circuit and pass tp. therefore they want you to ride with visor up so they can see your eyes got check this and that.

Hi guys! I'm currently stuck at prac 1. This Monday will be my fourth time. :( I fell down at the main circuit and everything went downhill from there. Pretty much bruised, battered and demoralized right now. :(
