Planet Knox Jacket

Hi, anybody bought mesh jacket from planet knox @ jurong west?

I think it cost about $100? Looking for reviews and some info on it.

 

Or do you suggest I consider other brands like RS Taichi / Rjays.

I'm looking into the long term, yet budget below $150.

planet knox jacket user here.(jacket is locally made i think, only the armor is knox) . Used to ride with a cordura jacket but realized it was too hot for our weather. So decided to change to mesh. Did some research and came across some the planet knox site.

 

Bought the jacket a few months ago. Came with back, shoulder and elbow armor. Riding with mesh jacket is cooler as in more airflow than riding with cordura. The only downside i can think off is that when it rains.

 

just drop down the shop at jurong. The uncle is super friendly and trying to create a safety motorcycle culture by wearing the proper gear in case anything happens aka accidents, skids. Rather tear the jacket than skin.

 

About the budget, i got mine for $100 so i think its within your stated budget.

Yeah I went down to see too few months back, forgot how it look.

Came with back, shoulder and elbow armor.

Are all the armors like really armors or just foam, I can't remember. Just remembered that shoulder and elbow are CE standard or something.

got the jacket recently

the armour is the same used in their armoured rain jacket

the armour is knox paddings

the jacket has no pockets

the areas that are brighter are actually reflective black colour

Tout Knox Stuffz are quite ex, as in U pay for the Quality kinda stuff? Wif CE Armour & all. Hmmm

Yep they do, I'm so small sized he let me try on one if the ladies small cuz he ran out of male xs at that time or something.

those interested to get do go down fast...

heard from them that their stocks always sells out fast...

their current batch of stock just came in ard 22 apr...

after the govt $$$ not sure if a lot of people went down to buy...

for ladies cut the paddings are smaller...

and they have 20% off for P-plates...

need to show your licence...

 

FYI the back protector is quite solid(slight problem for me as i need to detach it to store seperately)

i compared it with my friend's rs taichi mesh jacket back protector,the rs taichi one is so thin and soft compared to this...

its made in sg la. but the shoulder and elbow armor are knox, ce approved. so its pretty safe.

 

for 100 bucks, i think its quite good value.

 

my only concern is the stitching work and will it rip open in high speed impact etc.
