Hi guys, I sold off my Duke last month and decided to move into touring bikes. Since Blackbird has been my dreams in my younger days, i've decided to get one now. But i need advise and feedbacks from u BB Lao Jiaos here abt FR 8031 S... Does anybody know who is the previous owner and what problems does this bike has? Bike is now on sale at Excel Cycle. All i know is the clutch slave pump is not functioning properly. Thanks pals. If everything goes well, i should be riding one this weekend after a top over hauled!

Oh yup i forgot. Since i still love tracking, i was thinking how much of a difference does the BB compare to a Busa in terms of handling. I have track Busa before, but not a BB. Pls advise. Thanks mates!

hi bro welcome to the nuthouse.....i am not sure on the bike u mention but the clutch slave pump wont cost much to rectify as honda part are quitecheap in a way if u could afford the duke it wont feel muchfor thehonda ......tracking with the bb is always challenging as the shear size handle about the same like haya but i think haya have a bettet response but the nice thing bout the bb is its power slides.....often can slide alot if u have the balls to do it and always great in the straights but at pg the bmw turn is always a nitemare for the bb and haya but its nice though n squeeze u more if u ride it in there....anyway this is just my two cents and others might think diferent bout it hope to see u soon at meet ups

But i will only collect the bike a week later, now start valve clearance, replace clutch plates, springs, clutch slave pump, hoses, brembos brake pump and waiting for the Hyper pro suspension spring kit to arrive. Can't wait for it to finish. Hopefully when it's done, i can update u guys on the tracking part and share the infos with u bros here. At the same time i need to learn more stuffs regarding the FI issues of the bike. So far, mine doesn't have that problem, but dunno when it will come, thats the scary part!

yup true on wat u just said.....hope to hear n go tracking with u in the future and looks like u are a very experience rider from ur timing there.....as for the bb its really hard to setup even with my ohlins i have difficulty doin so lor alot of factors need to consider lor.....anyway hope to meet up n chat somemore as for the FI if there is no problem just dnt think bout itif it happens then i will tell u how to diagnose it lor....

i saw the green bird at 6.50 am this morning along ave 5, riding towards fire station. Maner jerr ni burung mau merayap pagi2.. tak dgr ke afterblast aku.. haha

 

Tak dgr pun bro.. Haha rushing to ippt test la bro.. Now bike in hospital again.. Battery flat.. Magnetic coil and rectifier goner.. Fork leaking.. And I'm given a clutch lever for free.. They ought to.. Paying 600 for all that.. Aiyo.. Koyak koyak.. How to get married like this?? Sorry broz been missing coz gt some projects at work.. Stupid ppl seem to lose more things.. Leceh la..

 

Just ended work this morning went for refuelling.. After exit checkpoint into sg.. Battery flat bro.. Imagine running up that stupid slope to push start.. Knn I shed a few kilos man.. Lucky one nice Malaysian riding phantom kind enough to help me.. Or else I faint there..

My current meter only damaged on the speedometer only.Tot of covering with black tape.SPeed can always depend on RPM only wat.....

Its possible but the harness for analogue and Fi is different due to temperature connection is differs a lot,I suggest u dun waste ur money on dat.Since u an avid tracker,i suggest u install a 6mm spacer on ur rear shock to give the BB a shorter wheelbase,definately gd while playing corners:thumb:

I kinda agree with confused.. You dun need to waste your cash.. Just go to the top speed like u used to... As for me.. The LCD faded and I dun change coz my wrist always go with the speed limit.. Never above 90 kph..
