ok la, come come. local meetup, or petrol meet up. let me see your exhaust then I decide.

For outlook, I'm definitely TP friendly one. Plain silver bb with big topbox, looks like uncle bike lor.

spotted another black bb at roti prata shop at tampines ave 4(i think). got aftermarket exhaust, and should be 07 model, cos I think got the chrome CBR logo.

Was told before hand by my kakis that BB's fuel comsumption a bit higher as compared to other tourers. Anybody here also riding a EFI analogue model?

1)Have u check the air filter?

2)HAve u tried riding 90km/h all the way?

3)throttle body sync?

4)Avoid high rev or dragging the engine while moving off.

5)Sujak is riding same as urs so its best u ask his opinion.

Similar to mine but y dun u get a 5 litre container,top it up with petrol for standby,top up ur birdie til full and ride till empty,dats where ur 5 litre container comes handy.From there u'll noe the volume of ur tank.

I purposely went on a long day ride around town and city area. Clock 100 over clicks on a hot afternoon. You are right, i tend to rev higher in the first 3 gears. Engine has been newly serviced , so no problem with that, except tonight or tomolo, i'm meeting up a seller to get his KNN air filter.

Morning BB Bros!

Quick question, is it normal to have the orange colour fuel reserve light coming on below the red "E" line? Or is it suppose to turn on once the needle hits the red "E" line?

Hi everyone!

Well the story goes a bit like this - bought a 1999 EFI BB couple of years ago and ofcoz didn't know a thing about it when I did (2008 July). Left for an overseas posting several months later and only came back this year (with periodic riding and starting up during my several trips back since).

Recently finally got the bike back in shape with a major service including but not limited to the following:

1. Change of wheel bearings (front and back);

2. Injectors cleaned and balanced;

3. front tire changed;

4. Chain and Sprocket changed;

5. Cam Chain Tensionor changed;

6. Radiator flush +Engine Ice;

7. Full OWS treatment + Oil and Oil Filter Change;

8. Fork shims, seals, bushes and one fork tube change;

9. Air filter cleaned.

First thing out of the shop when trying to park (I always have problems backing up due to the bike weight) I dropped the bike . . . AChhhCCKK!! :sian:

Why? Not used to the new "too smooth" rolling resistance. Even worse (or is it better), someone nearby actually rushed over to help. This is complete irony since I previously dropped the bike once before due to the reverse reason (too much rolling resistance - hit a stone) and it's always been at taxi-ing speeds, when the bike feels the heaviest.

Luckily no harm done to body, chassis or fairing both times as they were classic, carpark slow-speed, slow-mo falls, which were soaked up entirely by the chassis sliders . . .:cheeky:

Now another worry - after all that servicing, my bike FI light suddenly decides to light up and give me ERROR CODE 25!!! NNNNaaaAA BBBBeeeHHH!!!

:dot:

And I was just beginning to enjoy riding again too ( the engine has been really great to be honest).

Just don't understand why that would happen now just after servicing - apparently that means faulty knock sensor or faulty wiring.

Anyone have any ideas??
