hi all, with much regret, ive sold my carb'd bird & now i hav some oem items to lelong:

- stock exhaust

- stock windscreen

- clutch lever

- right hand mirror cover (titanium gray)

all cond abt 7-8/10. jus name me any reasonable offer @ 9 457 7675, tks.

hoaxter-i tink its best u learn how to change the simple stuff on ur bike .

 

Faiz-Its gd if u cud hold a DIY session for all the birdies be it changing CCTs,sparkplugs,airfilter.Simply strip naked....i mean ur bike, explain what the parts underneath the tank.Fuses and other simple stuffs that make the birdy works.Try to do simple maintenance check like how to check the rectifier connector for burnt mark(simple sign of rectifier going bad) How to clean the clutch actuator rod.Take note the 3 screws holding the clutch housing has 3 different length and it must be fixed(screw) at the same hole...

 

Will do bro...slowly...but i recommend those who wanna DIY...please download the service manual from cbrxx.com...Read thru the manual...at least can understand the theory first..For those big technicle jargon of automotive words...its best to google it and read up...If suay suay still dont understand..then kopi sessions juz drop by...i can explain the dirty way and clean way...hehhe!!

one thing to consider, they have different color of boxes for different year of blackbirds. If you can, go for the latest, ie, 07. all the mounting are the same. the only difference is, the boxes u ordered for 2007 blackbird are manufactured in 2007. So, of cos try to get the newest consignment!!

I got mine done from my Mech at Excel Cycle. Recommended Zesture and another friend's brother there too. Both walk away happily. I think they spend $500 on 7 lines including the steel braided clutch hose too. All using Hell lines. And price includes workmanship and additional bracket to lock the additional pump located on the left side of front wheel. Check out with Zesture for feedback and comments. Mine is working perfectly fine on the road, track and some mild touring, never give me problems. But i would recommend u to upgrade ur brake master pump as well. U will feel a lot of diff.

Sweet...no more cbs system...all those delay valve... proportional valve...Sometimes i juz hate the cbs system...make the bike feels funny when entering corners...

Hi Yan, sorry for not able to turn up, for your big day as promised, as im busy hecking thru the famous FI code 25 error...seems very common issue for 01 birds...will post up some update as to what i've done, as infos on this are generally out in other forum, but not really readily available...

 

Below are a list of things or methods known to remove the error or were the cause of it...

 

1) Faulty ECU

2) Wiring Loom problems (Corrosion of test leads used by Honda for final assembly checks)

3) Grounding fault

 

Symptoms

While stationary, rev bike to 3k-6krpm for 10secs, FI light will light up, or the other method to see is while riding bike is going above 3-6k rpm FI light lights up, and bike feels slightly sluggish...in order to see the coding of error, u need to stop the bike but leaving the engine running, and deploy the sidestand...

Once sidestand is down, the FI light will start to blink 2 long blinks followed by 5 short continuous blink( Long blinks indicate as 10s, short blinks as 1s) followed by a long pause with no activity and the whole sequence starts all over again

 

 

Couple of other guys in other countries who experienced this problems, fixed it namely changing outta ECU, as it was the main culprit.

 

So in order to know if the ECU is playing punk, juz use a later model of BB ECU to test, known compatible ECU are 01-07 onwards, 07 being the widely recommended as Honda has quietly rectified the defect of the ECU, but not openly saying that earlier version of BB ECU were prone to this issue...

 

Anyway since my bike is still under warranty will try my best to sort it out with the bikeshop, worse to worse bill split 50/50 bill, if at best a new ECU FOC , but i'd doubt so...

Found this inside my spare parts store room. It was meant to be a project spare, but my project didn't really materialise... Therefore selling the headlight, it's an original headlight from HONDA, meant for 99-02 CBR1100 Blackbird brought it about 1 year back, which was about S$500.

 

Condition: 10/10 Brand New never mounted before, no broken tabs or broken mounting points.

Selling price: S$300 (FIX)
