if its 300 den it shud be ok.. if im not wrong, fjt sells magnetic coil ard 250.. plus gasket and labour.. 300 shud be alrite.. and what abt your tow? is it inclusive.. hehe..

I used to get about 240km before it starts blinking. After changing the ECU, I was shocked that it could go 340-360km after hitting reserve. JFYI, YMMV.

 

How much you get for the ECU?

For BB,no matter wat make ur bike is,it can swallow 92 Ron petrol,no need to pump the best and expensive fuel in town.BB is bulletproof,u can howvere treat it with expensive fuel once a month...........some says by filling up with cheap fuel,carbon build-up will affect the bike's performance.........My dear BB riders,dats wat NSHW is for........notice the trees along the highways? they are meant to swallow the carbons la...hahahahahhahahaha....if u dun see trees,it mean u fly toooooooooo fffffaaaaassssstttttttt!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! *quoted from someone confused*

The most I got from my BB was 240-245 before the light blinks

I tot was average

wah now got 300+

My bike now also same problem

Im getting 240 -260

but was told can go 300plus

Jbat did mention something about missing or faulty O2 sensor last Sat when we met tho

The only solution for fuel issue is rightwrist discipline........if u all can tahan to ride strictly 90km/h till blink,u'll be surprised,of course it shud follow with smooth take off.Avoid hard rev.

 

But if really u wanna safe fuel........buy a kupchai....

Mine is 250 before blinks .. so abt 300km after reserve .. but when i go full throttle all the way esp in mesian highways .. at 200km, fuel start to blink oredi .. im waiting for Bro jebat or bro zesture to come upwith an alternative solution ... use cooking oil ..... hihihiihhihihihihihi

No bro, there is no aftermarket ECU. It's a stock Honda ECU. The ECU I was talking of before was a reconditioned stock Honda ECU also, not an aftermarket ECU.

 

I was quite shocked by the mileage after the change, didn't expect it to make such a big diff. When the old ECU was blinking I only got 180 - 200km before it starts blinking.

 

Did anyone who has changed the ECU notice this also?

hmmm so one could attain better FC by just getting a new ECU? the new ECU got a total diff mapping or what? saw the ECU was like 400+ right for a recon one?

A month ago, my friend sold his BB. So I thought, before that maybe I could exchange his meter with mine. My meter have the unclear reading of the fuel consumption and temperature.

after exchanging, the meter screen work wonders, giving me clearer reading. But juz last week the it gave me the same problem as my previous meter. Do you guys have any idea why this problem appear? Is it bcoz of my wiring?

Unclear meaning wat?..fogging of meter or due to much exposure under the sun?

Always keep ur LCD display covered.The scorching glare will definately damage ur LCD.Keep it cover aite. If fogging,there must be leak somewhere

Have the same problem on my bike too. I thought it's strong sunlight, but from your case it seems that's not likely since it happened so quickly. If you have a friend with a good meter, can try swapping yours to his bike and see if yours work properly?

tink he oredi have done the exchanging but its recurring again.Best protection is cover ur bike,put a cloth to cover the meter

No I mean swap the "bad" meter to a known good bike (he did it the other way around the first time) and see if the meter suddenly works properly. If it does then it could be something other than the meter.

Unplugging the O2 sensor will increase fuel consumption alot,as the ecu has no way of knowing the air/fuel ratio(unless you are using PC3 lah)..next is to check on the fuel pressure regulator...a faulty fuel pressure regulator will also increase fuel consumption..
