I was on my way to work @ 7.30am witnessing an accident between a Phantom and a lorry.I was travelling along ang mo kio ave 4 @ that moment.and I realize that a Phantom was behind me.When we turn to Ave 3,I travel @ normal road speed cause the road surface is wet due to last night rain.As reaching 2 a junction before Al-mutaqin Mosque, upon seeing the traffic light turning amber,I managed to slow down and stop. But seeing my left hand mirror,I saw the Phantom is speeding trying to pass the junction.@ that time,A lorry is turning left, and the traffic light show green turn.As the lorry turn half way,the phantom try to pass the lorry. The Phantom front wheel managed to escape the lorry but the tail hit the lorry front causing the both of them to flung from their bike.

Both the rider and pillon is in critical condition.I stop @ the road side and call the police, and the lorry driver call the ambulance.Hopefully both of them would survive the accident......

I think the way you post is not very fair leh as to the threadstarter post.

You start to lamb blast lorry drivers but the thread clearly shows that the biker was at fault.

I think we forumers should post our comments fairly and with a decent amout of maturity.

Cheers.

true.. before moving off from junctions.. always have a quick glance from the opposite traffic.. u may never noe which dumb drivers or riders might want to beat the light..

as for ppl proceeding on the amber light.. usually i woud flash my high beam when i wan to proceed on the amber light and tap my horn.. just to warn the drivers turning..

Wait guys. Think!

Think, carefully. Whos fault? Who is the stupid one?

Who should Think, Stop!

Who should be on the safe side? Who is thge one that take the risk?

WHO'S FAULT FOR BEING IGNORANT?

Pause, Think, Decide. Be safe, not sorry. Why take risk?

maybe next time u can give a fair and impartial eg.

upon approaching the amber light, the rider should have slow down and not to speed up to the beat the traffic light. not to mention he had a pillion rider and the roads were wet. he action was impulsive and irresponsible to the pillion rider's safety.

there are many times when accidents involved with big trucks and buses were not beacause the driver drove with negligent cares. there are many blind spots for those big vehicles, there are limited precautions the drivers can take care. other road users shall stay away from them if feel unsafe. not to mention never try to squeeze between them.

ride safe.

there are stupid and inconsiderate lorry drivers, motorcar drivers, motorcycle riders and even predestrians who thinks their grandfather owns the road....usually when things happen then people regret...I usually ride defensively...in Singapore how much time can u save from speeding...most save you one traffic light.

Today as I was travelling back from work kaki bukit ...as the road was quite slippery, I had to slow down more when turning...knnccb one stupid drive horn me from behind...i keep to the left of the road let him overtake....i thought his grandmother giving birth or what so urgent so let him overtake me...wtf...he is not driving fast either...so high beam him and horn back at him from behind... i see the car inside no gal leh...so he is not trying to show off...maybe he work stress.

Just called by Traffic Police IO,He informed me that the pillon is now warded, but the rider is still @ Operating Theatre cause he has internal bleeding.I'm not the only one who witness the accident, there are also another car driver who witness it.

Hope the rider is fine then. I guess it is not the time to pinpoint that who is right or wrong even though it is clearly that the rider is at fault. Sometimes, human brain doesn’t think as fast as our reflexes and probably the rider just can’t decide to stop in time and tries his luck. I believe this saga should give him a clearer mind next time and mindful of his pillion safety.

Hybridz: I am surprise at your action to high beam and horn the driver after giving him your courtesy gesture of way. You could just trigger unhappiness with the driver and god knows what he would response with next.

that time i was along a straight road (main road) maybe just 40km/h, minding my own business, the floor is wet as wet. got one van driver coming out from small road, treat me like thin air, even though very close liao, he still turn out, luckily i was wary of it, and managed to slow down before jamming brakes, cos really very close liao, even at 30km/h also i will die first. i stopped in time with my rear wheel abit "fishtail" effect, cos the road very wet.

then you know what he did? he smiled widely at me and continued to turn as if ok no problem. what lau!!

Our lifes are precious guys. And hope there'll be a day all Drivers need to have mandatory Bike license and Vice Versa.

There are countries practising that and I somehow believed the theory. SO we share the feelings of the other party.
