hi every one..i'm interested in the gts just like many of you out here..many bike shops are already carrying it now on display..personally i'm giving my comments and reviews on this bike

the quality of the plastics used for the bike is somewhat inferior to x9 etc, meter's finishing doesn't look as good/classy as the X9 evo's but its design is stunning.however the needles sweep once across the rpm/speedo range to test the electrical circuit, does it just like my r1.It's seat's material also feels quite crappy

The engine is very quiet, and has little vibration.(i read the manual, its about 172kg and the engine produces 14.1ps..lol forgot the RPM tho)

with a twist of a key.the fuel cap pops open. Its also equiped with a security system. The trunk is quite spacious.maybe bigger than the X9

HOWEVER the manual states that the petrol tank is only 8.5 litres..didn't state if reserve is included or not.

i went back to my bike shop leong seng, the guy quote me 5.5k machine price..and 7.1k(other 2 bike shops quoted me 7.8k) o.t.r for 31 Y0,but the boss went for ippt so the chief mechanic aske me to talk to the boss personally so maybe can get a better price,i hope after getting a big cut for my 04r1,his subsisting conscience will give me a great price for this GTS.

sorry for the blur pics..i dont have a scanner

any 1 here interested to get the bike as well??how about a M.O?:cheer: :lovestruck:

Why not you find out the price at the road show first and compare. To my info, deal come in better in road show or motor show. Slowly do your finding before commiting it.

Good luck in your seach.

GTS is 12L tank. I dunno where you get the manual from.. 8.5L is from what I know, is for the Joyride/Joyride EFI. GTS AVERAGE road travel at 80km/h can hit up to 315km before reserve.

well i asked the sales man at the bike shop about the fuel capacity.he didnt know,so he got the GTS manual from the displayed GTS's trunk.it showed GTS200 and GTS150 falls under the same 8.5lit while GTS250 falls under 12lit..i'm quite sure its accurate tho

maybe i go check again later..speedway/dexing is just 5mins ride from where i stay

hi guyz

Sym motor show is coming. Hope potential buyer can get a great deal there. As fer me, i'll juz drop by to see myself wats the hype about though i'll be getting the bike later today.

Basically, i didnt really notice the details such as plastic quality etc. Bike's cheaper than an x9, so i dunt really expect to get a good quality bike like ab x9. The future might prove me wrong though.

Paying >$8k for an unkwown bike is a bold move, but i'm giving the taiwanese manufacture a chance to prove many wrong.

-Gu0Zz- :thx for the xtra effort to publish details of gts 200 and honest comments

By sunday, i might add in xtra detail of the bike... as i'm gonna top up full tank with v pover.... 20% off leh juz now..... once in a while top up in sg. So must try.

Just came back from the the motor show, its a mini one, with only 3 GTS with some other models on display,i saw the salesman who sold me my R1,before that i already went to sp**dway to view the GTs,he offered me a really good price for it,no agreement fees for loan too.but price quoted minus I.U,and if you wana get the bike asap u'll have to pay a 120 coe transfer,if not wait for the next tendering on wed,i placed a deposit then i went back to sp**dway to give the bike a test ride..engine very smooth and quiet, its comfortable as the distance between the handlebars and the steat is just nice for me.probably made for asians.(i'm 1.67)

Those who are interested to buy may pm me so i could introduce u to a great deal tomorrow.offer lasts only for the road show~

-BIke has steel braded hoses too!

Hi guyz

Me too juz got back from the road show, n also juz got my bike( sym gts 200). I believe there's a better price out there for potential buyers, maybe try askin -Gu0Zz for a start.

$ aside...what do i think about GTS 200?? First impression counts. The bike is damn comfortable, even though i'm 1.86m n weighs 90kg. Heard from a salesman at the SYM roadshow tt in europe (gts 200 is AKA Voyager) , its 2nd best selling bike. I'm not sure where he get the statistics... but testing it urself makes u tink no wonder its one of the best selling scooter in europe.

The moment i sit n ride on it, it's very comfortable n the leg space is quite roomy. Since i'm still running- in the bike, i cant really tell u how fast it can go or accelerate... though the bike is not made for speed...for mainly for comfort n luggage space.

SORRY FOR THE WRONG INFO GIVEN IN PREVIOUS REPLY, GTS 200 IS RUNNING WITH A CARBURATOR...NOT EFI.

It has a light switch in the under-seat compartment, making it easy to find stuff especially at night

An accessory socket is available in the glove box, making it easy to charge ur hp,pda or even light up ur cigarette...

Rider seat has a mini back rest..... which i find it quite useful even short distance travelling....

Minus point belongs to the pillion. My gf complains tt she really hav problem mounting on the bike... its not like a sport bike or road bike where the seat it quite slim. GTS 200 has a broad pillion seat, maybe it is intended for comfort. SHe had to spread her legs wide open. Its a matter of time she'll adapt to it. And also, on other bikes, she could either rest on my back or rest on the box... with GTS 200(w/o box) ...complains tt she feels tired.....

Girls will always be gerls....

As a rider.... nothin much to complain... but i'm having my doubts of the glove compartment will keep the rain drops away from entering it.... Minor problem.

It has a 12L petrol tank... cost me S$20 to top up with v-power(b4 discount). To report again on fuel consumtion... as i'll b riding

I went over to suntec to look at it. From first impression, it seems that this bike is modelled to kill X9 and X8.

Here are the features :

1) Huge storage space, bigger than X8.

2) I like the meter, where it did a clockwise self test when switched on.

3) headlight look "hayabusa", 20 led rear lights with a japanese style scooter frame

4) low battery indication light. No need to install voltmeter.

5) retractable side mirror.

6) underseat storage box light is controlled by a manual switch. Even u forgot to switch off, front panel indication will show.

7) 5 in 1 switch sys.

what ever prob or some thing about X9 we don like, this bike seems to get it right.

Just that I didn have chance for the test ride so no comments for the engine.

But this bike looks cool :thumb:

The roadshow is attended by 1 representative from each autorised SYM bikeshop, eg MAH motor etc.

So, honestly, different salesman hav sumtink different to offer. SO, they do accept trade-ins.

As i'm under 26yrs, due to the insurance premium, i've paid $8100. Box is free, weather roadshow or not,but the shipment is arriving at a later date. So momentarily, no box. The bracket n box is a standard free gift when purchase GTS 200, thx to the distributor in s'pore. Other free gifts, tt depend on the bikeshop itself.

ralliArt, since u got so many questions, y dunt u ask, for the benefit of everybody, as long as its not off topic. I'll be glad to assist u to all my knowledge.

Went to check out this bike. I agreed that those cons on X9 are not found on this GTS. Perhaps the under seat compartment is smaller then X9. I got qouted 6.9k OTR if u are 31 yrs old w/o IU. After some discussion with the sales from new southern motor (Is it organised by them? ) I was qouted about 7080 OTR and interest is at 5% W/O IU as im 28 yrs old. Anyone got qouted best price?

Posted

Wow i got quoted 7.8K with everything in (Givi Helmet , Kappa 46L box, IU) OTR.

Tradein for my FW JR200 is only 2k+- off

I think 7080 is quite a deal

Scoot for L I F E

Hyosung Aquila 125 -> Joyride 200 -> GTS 200 -> G-MAX 200 -> Adiva AD200
