Hi all,

just bought a joyride 200.

Went to pump petrol last night, but not sure how to check whether the tank is full while pumping.

Can i pump till just enough to fit in my fuel tank cap? Since joyride 200 tank only 8.5l, i will wanna pump as full as possible each time i visit to a petrol kiosk.

if u wan to pump ur joyride to full tank, u must park the bike with main stand.

i usually pump SPC 92 when the bar reack empty and the led light keep blinking.

$11.40 of 92 grade petrol will give me 6.95litres. after 12% discount about $10.

 

If u fill up to the fuel tank cap remember to park using main stand for atleast 1st 30km, if not, fuel might leak thru.

Hi friend,

Thanks for the good suggestion regarding the fuel pump.

As i am big size (178cm 90kg), i feel that the JY200 seat is not wide enough for me. :mad:

Any suggestion on changing of the seat? Tried the GTS wan, more comfortable. At least the seat is wider.

Really hope there is a possibility of changing the seat...:p :sian:

Yes, you can fill up petrol till capped but preferably park in main stand.

 

$2600 for a sym200???? SO cheap? too cheap, I smell a fish! Btw, I just finish my installment. now bike is 2yrs old liao.

 

Btw, GTS, PGO, X9, X8 or SYM200, all the same when you ride. Suay Suay buy a 1st hand one and kanna problems this and that how? Luckily bought a 2nd hand and end up riding peacefully? you may not know.

Hey all GTS riders...

 

I recently stopped by a bike shop to ask abt the X8... but they din have any, and instead he tried to sell me the GTS. (for about $7200 OTR, I'm 34)

 

I wasn't really interested actually... cos' I was more thinking X9 or X8 (I'm riding a Hexagon right now) But The price seems rather 'attractive'

 

So I looked thru the GTS Thread.. but not all 50 pages tho' and it seems generally most are satisfied with their GTS? Is this a fair statement? Right now, I'm actually more open to consider a SYM... =) However, what are things I need to consider when decided between a Piaggio (whether X8 or X9) and a SYM GTS200.

 

Right now, i'm actually more keen on a 2nd-hand purchase.. dun want to take loan, rather pay cash is I can. Any 2nd-hand SYM GTS out there??

 

I only saw one by a Lief21.... selling his black one.

Hi all. juz wonderin how to do run-in? getting my bike this week so need to know how. is it 50km/h the whole day for my 1st day ride out? then the whole 2nd day is 60km/h? :giddy:

This is quite a good way to run-in

 

a) 30 to 50km/h for first 0 to 200km

b)40 to 60km/h for 200 to 300km

c) 40 to 70km/h for 300 to 500km

d) 50 to 80km/h for 500 to 650km

e) 50 to 90km/h for 650 to 750km

f) 60 to 100km/h for 750 to 900km

g) 60 to 105km/h for 900km to 1000km

h) 70 to 115km/h for 1000km to 1500km

All GTS riders.. Got some news from the SYM agent today that our bike display panel with the batt logo.. It SHOULD NOT light up when we are travelling.. It is not "it shows that it is charging" as claim by all the bikeshops.. The light should ONLY be lighted up in the event of not enough charging (as claim by the agent). I had my rectiflier (dun know how to spell) changed and the light is history.. So.. Those (I believe all) who have the batt light lighted up.. Pls go to ur bikeshop to have it 'checked'. :smile:

Nope.. It nv increase.. Instead.. It drop abit.. like on idle its about 13.8/9 like that.. Used to be 14.0/1.. But now the light is gone.. Which is the correct way lar..

Like that must inform my bike's buyer to go back to the shop to have it checked and replaced leh. Many many issues leh this bike... :faint:

Abit unfair statement lar.. All new bike will bound to have many issues one.. Untill the bike has been in the market for a period of time then all the faults are being updated then u will have a less problematic bike.. But at least they are willing to changed and help us solve the problem..

hi guys...

 

i just met up with SYM engineers from Taiwan...

they confirmed that the red batt sign should not be lit when riding...

 

in the correct scenario, when the batt lit, its due to a faulty batt or the batt is low

and needed to be recharged.

 

The problem lies with the CCU (Charging Control Unit)...

we have just retified the last few pieces of my last batch GTS...now they are all fine. For the new batches of GTS, there will not be such a problem.

 

For those who bought their GTS from Mah Pte Ltd...i urge them to come forth and get the CCU changed... ;)

Hi all. I'm a newbie who just got my secondhand joyride200, FW 1***, @ $2750 otr, price wise is is reasonable? the miledge is abt 35000plus km. got a new paintwork though. i find the headlight not bright enuff..possible to change the bulb? wan to change the headlight cover as well as the speedo. can any kind souls enlighten me on where i can get these fixed plus the run down on the cost? thanks a million in advance.. :help:

yo guys... i've been following this thread for some time now...

I'll be getting my SYM GTS 200 this Friday! Yeah!

 

After much consideration.. (at first was out to get a 2nd-hand X9 Amalfi, or a Hexagon 180)...

I decided to 'take the plunge' and get the GTS...

 

it's a used one.. abt 5 months old

 

I'm really excited! :bounce:

 

Hopefully, the it'd be relatively problem free.. hee

 

Would really love to join any meet-ups you guys might have in the future!

(and learn more fr u all experienced GTS riders)

 

btw, found out that I had to pay $70 just to scrap my 9yr old Hexagon. will only get $30plus bucks from it ... sigh! (but at least it's served me well all these 2 years i've owned it)

hi all, got my GTS today. :smile: :smile: can't wait to ride out with it :cheeky: so excited !!! :sweat: But keep on raining nowadays :weep: don't dare to ride out :cheeky:

BTW, normal ideling speeed is how much?:confused:
