I went to Yew Huat (in AMK) a week ago to get my Shadow 400 sprayed. And unfortunately the 'petrol-knob' (that knob that allows you to choose between 'on', 'off' and 'reserve') gave way before the guy (Ah Huat) replaced the sprayed tank. Now I can't even ride my bike. Ah Huat spent the whole day trying to get a replacement for the knob but couldn't get first nor second hand replacements for it. Apparently now my best option is for Ah Huat to order through his contacts a new knob, and it's going to take at least a month, he says. Damn sian man. Totally demoralizing. Any suggestions my fellow bikers? Anyone knows where I can possibly get a replacement for that knob?

Yes that's the knob that as broken. But it's more the metal 'box' that was attached to the knob that became loose than the knob itself (that's shown in ur pic) that was broken. And yes, I meant fuel not oil.

Any suggestions? Thx man

The 'metal box' is the one that has the words 'on', 'off' and 'res' on it. And one side of it is loose from it's body. Thus fuel leaks out from that side. It's like one face of the 'box' is loose from the other 5 faces.

Wow. What a bummer!

I suggest you try conversion from other brands like Yamaha or Suzuki.
