I wonder how is the missing silencer improves safety on a scooter?

i think he meant "safety" in the sense safer cos wun kenna catch by ROV for removing the silencer.

so any other ways to improve the sound of engine/exhaust/filter?

Is changing the malossi red sponge filter advisable?

I got my IU inside the front panel.

Been nearly a year now.

Only once the ERP gantry cant detect.

LTA sends a letter saying the IU got error and for u to go get the IU inspected.

Go inspection ctr and got it checked. Scanner can detect IU.

Technicians say IU must be visible as stated by LTA.

Anyway the IU is still in my front panel till now!! :thumb:

YOU must be kidding.. removing silencer wun catch by ROV?

i think same charge as using non-approved exhaust or tampering with exhaust.

sometimes these problems are what set the pure enthusiast and just a sunday rider

2 stroke gileras are a pain to some but give plenty of joy to others

you must have passion if not, it'll just sit at the carpark after every ride and gather more and more problems.....

then you sien and change bike, then when you see a swee one on the road, you wonder why you sell ??

same goes for any other bike too actually

Bro... every single bike has problems. If there's a bike that is problem-free, everyone would be buying it and mechanics would be out of a job...

I used to ride a scrambler and every month, during payday... i would spend money to repair my bike...

So i got tired and traded in for a brand new gilera. And i think till now... I've spent over a thousand bucks on my gilera... to modify (pipe, alarm, decals, other small stuffz )... not to repair...

That's the difference... spending money to mod the bike rather than to repair.

Bro, if you get a 1st hand gilera... you'll not be spending much money on repairs... instead, ur hands will be itching to modify.... after you see all our brothers' bikes... that's what i felt.. wahhaha...

I would recommend anyone to get a gilera, be it SP, 05, 06 or 07....

Coz every bike will have problems...

The lizard skin costs about 12 bucks. So for two would set up back around 24... ;)
