I have fix open pod and lv only. Other than that all still stock. If i want change roller, what are the size recommend? 10.5g or 12.5g? Where can get suitable jetting?

I feel great. I can learn step by step from all guru. I'm not mod my runner for racing, but for power satisfy. I need more advice before mod it.

try get 12.5.. i using 11.5 but high end not there lah.. btw using malossi.. sliding rollers oso have .. but u shd check ur jetting ar.. maybe u running too rich... tats why ur pick up not so good..

oohh wokies..it depends on individual..if u wan pick up..can actualli opt for 10.5g..but to make it balance..12.5 shud be ok ar..hav pick up n distance as wat bongstar referin to..jetting...hmm..nid to no whether did they change ur main jet to a smaller size since u change ur lv n open pod..they MIGHT change it or let it stock...check ur main n air jet...hope tis werks..

That what i plan too change roller to 12.5g. The bike shop keep asking me change to 10.5g. I saw they change air jet & oil jet. Original jet return to me ask me keep. But the size correct or not, then i don't know. Not so nice put the shop name here. Btw, any good review for slider roller here? Slider roller come from taiwan right?

I recommend not to use the 10.5g. I've tried it... Yeah, it works on your pickup but when you're cruising the expressway, it will get frustrating for you as i can see u like power... so 12.5g would be a better choice for you.

 

Anyways, 10.5g for pickup no point... gilera pickup already faster than most bikes so i dun see the real need for faster pickup...

 

As for tuning, when you got your LV and open port, they shld tune it and settled everything for you there and then. No such thing as you coming back and re-tune and re-tune and re-tune... waste of time and money...

 

As for the slider rollers, usually they're used for racing... so they tend to wear out faster. So i suggest not to get it.. granted that it will most probably improve ur performance... but then again, you ain't going for no race... So i recommend either the stock ones or the malossi ones...

machine price shld be around 6.3K .... that's what i last heard... (a week ago)

Hi Shah, long time have not hear from you. Thanks for your advice. I will stick to change to malossi 12.5g. I wouldn't change the Multivar first. As it is out of my budget at the moment.

Got a question here.

1) It's said tat water gets in to oil tank eaily during rainy days?

2) Problems starts to come after a few months and cause hassel?

 

Frankly speaking are there still any negatives abt VXR 2007?

hi chok, every bike has its pros n cons. ups n downs. yes,, the petrol cover isnt tat water sealed tat proper n rain water might leaked into the petrol tank, so shops at kallang introduce some petrol tank cover to overcome the problem. i myself a newbie n suffered from tis problem, yet i went for servicing for my petrol tank n yet i dun regret owning tis bike for i love riding on it even it will be a hassle to me one day coz i choose tis bike. just sharing my opinion...

Power, FC and stability on a 07 model is all in balance.. good bike overall.

all bikes regardless of make have pros and cons like what Thor said.

The rain issue is fairly common, easily overcome by the rain cover.

Or.. If you like crazy pick up like spy, sheep or myself.. Then you can consider

our model, SP180 (trying to poison you XP )

haha... i cannot afford a second hand in a sense tat i dun have enuf cash to buy frm ppl. So i can only pay by installment and buy first hand.

 

I juz wan a reliable buy tat is problem free for at lest 6 months or so. And nth tat will really spoil ur day thru out my riding years.

 

Is the water leaking very serious? Changing a the cover will help?

Anyone encounter any problem with it? any bad experience?

Or any advice before buying it/ special maintainance? pls enlighten..

A friend of mine is very keen to buy 1st hand off shops..

It's not the cover that you change.. It's an addon piece that you slip over the

fuel tank to prevent water from entering. Not really very serious 'cept for heavy rains. If you intend to buy a bike and keep, then of course first hand is the best. But if not, consider saving for a second hand. Pay one shot, and the bike is yours hassle free till it gives problems. I got a friend who is selling his SP180. Almost as fast as mine. Well... Almost.. =P
