hey guys, hi i am a noob. i just wanna ask, wht shld i noe abt scooters cos i am getting one very soon. planning to ride the 06' runner.. any advices??

No alarm install on my bike as believe there is no way to start the bike without the special Gilera key (magnetic chip). However, installing the alarm will give you a good night sleep, by all means proceed.

erm... there r tonnes of reports of stolen parts though...

try not to park at isolated places is the best that we can do

Hey guys where do you buy your VXR 200 and can tell me how much you guys bought it? Prefrably as detail information as possible

 

So far i check with only 1 shop and he quoted me machine price of VXR200 S$6800 for purchase price + coe. No IU and Rear Box. Insurance on my own. I dunno if there is other hidden cost as i just asked over the phone.

 

Any shop having any credit card payment with 0% interest? Thks a lot.

 

Still thinking to of either getting a Phantom TA200 or VXR200

now that COE price go up... machine price is abt there... $6.7-6.8K

but IU should be included... as for rear box it is subjective

insurance will depend on ur age & riding experience

Welcome to the group and glad to hear you are thrill with the bike. For me, I had develop a habit of when coming to a stop, I will move my buttock forward so that I can put my feet on the ground and when travel non-stop, will seat as far back as possible for comfy and better control of the bike. Try it.

How about any place to get 0% interest on instalment for 2yrs? Anyone got any input on this?

 

As for IS i think he said is ard 180 each and rear box plus installation is 210....ard there la...any input on that, thks.

yeap.. now riding it liao le loh.. holland in simei yesterday nite.. and oso today while going to bugis.. very sian of getting lost liao le.. but gotta try harder loh...

 

i got tis feeling red is so eye spiking.. i wana spray to carbon black leh.. any advise frm riders here??

 

some ppl tell me original paint is beta.. others tell me no diff.. can anyone please help me on this???

 

anyway riding the bike was quite smooth loh.. except hearing buzzing sound.. duno got cure for it or not leh..

 

height is ok la.. can tip top and not really very diff la..

 

but the box and the undercarriage is damn small .. put alittle stuff and its full!!!

For new bike breaking in the burning smell is normal.

The buzzing noise will go away after you clock more than 500m, or the engine had completed run-in.

anyway.. y is the retractable stand so diff to use ah... hai... super not secure on that.

use the mainstand

Me too have that buzzing sound whenever I press the front (right) brake. Is it normal?

Why is it so? Not secure? Piaggio so stupid as to design something not realiable?

 

Personally I felt it is ok so far, but you might be right in certain case, if you park on a slope slightly slanted to ur left, better use the main stand if you dont want your bike to fall.

i think the side stand comes as a +Plus add-on for the new runner...

 

i used to ride on a skipper and a vespa... both dun have side stand... and i am comfortable with that....

Since now, the new runner have a side stand, i won't use it to park my bike but if under certain situation that i prefer a side stand to a main, i will use it loh...

 

Now... still awaiting for my ride to come....... sighzzzzzz....

yeap... i just got it .. but frm a seller whp bought it during the rdshow then selling off so i bought it loh.. now mine otr is 6.9

 

the buzzing sound not only frm pressing on the brake.. frm the speed 53 - 63 i can hear it more often...

 

 

why i say side stand is not gd coz mayb for my case i short la.. so whenever wana temp park using the stand... i cant seem to get gd contact wif the ground leh.. mayb not used to it loh..

 

btw.. regarding my eariler qns.... any suggestions on spraying my bike?? feel like spray to malt black leh.. red seems to eye spiking liao le.. tat day i ride pass changi.. knn.. kena jio by kawa.. kaozzz... thn me as a timid sh*t... just act blur n continue my own ride...
