Juz went to PSC during lunch break.

saw the Nexus 500.... Impressive header, also awesome Pipe and nice suspensions.

i was standing there, thinking... since runner is the younger brother of Nexus, shouldn't the younger one have all the goodies stuffs of the old bro? :cheeky:

i have been getting around 30km/l , which makes me very happy:cheer: :cheer:

topping up petrol at above,210km on the trip meter before topping up to about 7-7.2 litres of petrol

but i am surprised as to why some people are getting 22- 23km/l

more people should share their fuel consumption:confused:

btw i only reach 1600km in total

hmmm...what speed r u going at normal travelling?

My friend advised me to force run-in.... cos when i ride slow, the bike cannot engage to a higher gear... that is why waste petrol....

hmmmmmmmm..............

during run in [below 1000km] i was riding below 80km sometimes as slow as 60km/h:giddy:

above 1000km i am going at the road speed limit .rarely hitting 95km above, me no speed demon, me treasure life:smile:

perhaps u should try to ride until your fuel indicator bar is gone then top up. petrol.

i believe u still have some where about 1 litre in reserve[ 20-30km] to ride

then take the trip meter reading divide by the amount of petrol that goes in

maybe riding till the petrol is near empty and topping up when tank is half full gives u a different reading, try it:cheeky: :cheeky:

i was riding all the way below 80km/h or the most 80km/h.

Now i have ride 410km.

Yesterday, i pump 6.8 Litres for 157km.

When i do my calculations, it is ard 23.1km per litres...

I think i try to change engine oil and see how it goes...

It is quite werid as we are all riding the same bike with same engine but we clock different mileage.

Posted

mostly i would say is due to riding styles

perhaps you could try adopting a diff style everytime u topup petrol

den again... wad petrol r u pumping?

with a 23km/ltr mileage it sounds like u r pumping V Power...

Yah that is the one i was ask to do but it seems wasted lah drilling into the back like that

Cause when i opened the back and unscrew everything i find that rear part where they wanted to drill the hole is quite empty, just worried that the thing might crack if i put too heavy stuff into it?

Anyway where did you do it (it is at ASphoon?) if yes mind asking for me how much ?

i cant say for definite that 95 is more economy for u

but it certainly is for me

perhaps u should try re-tuning ur ride 1st

1 of the reasons could be due to too much fuel too little air

if vice versa u shud experience backfiring

anyway try to re-tune 1st & stick to 98 for the moment lor

u got to try thru trial & error to find out what's best for ur runner

8000 burns more efficeintly, thus slightly more power. response is better also. It is more recommended for performance engines or people who really want the best for their transport.

5000 is more than enough for most engines. My runner i use 8000 cos i want the best for my engine and also becos i ride less often. hehe

For Runner, the fuel minimum recommended is unleaded 95.

Not all 98 are the same, I pump 98 with one brand and decide to switch another brand, realise that not only the power is different, the sound produce also slightly different. Check it out.

different petroleum companies add their own mixture of additives into the petrol

only thru trial & error will u know which is the best for ur ride in terms of FC & performance
