Need Help here...

My rear suspension is slanted because of previous accident.

Any recommendation? Get a new one? How much? Or second hand stock?

Clutch slipped.

What's the market price now? I totally have no idea about this. Was told by fren that it is slipped.

Stock pipe got the white stains, how to remove it? If use hi-temp spraypaint, will it come out eventually? And where can i get the service ? or can DIY?

Seats. Apparently my seat got cracked caused i positioned my helmet under my seat wrongly. Start off very small, now cracked super jialat. Anyone noe how to fix this? Or buying a new seat is better? Ideas anyone?

thanks in advanced...

hey... what happened??? there are alot of after market suspension... cost start from 200 up to 700-800.. depends on ur budget...

clutch slipped... some say jus modify by drawing afew lines... can already... but some say this way no use or no good... some jus change the whole thing but the problem sure to come back... another way is jus live with it... haha...

for the white stain on ur exhuast... i diy spray sure to help cover it up... but the paint sure to crack!

dun think can fix ur seat... have to buy a new one....

2 wires.. bLack n red. connect the bLack wire to the negative of the battery first. then the red wire to the positive. done.

this way i think the volt meter will alway on... i think still have to connect the rest of the way to ignition...

Not necessary the wiring behind your meter.

I suspect its the speedo hub at the wheel. Basically, its a piece of plastic in that hub that turns the wire causing your speedo to move. Get that checked first.

Forget the stickers... what for? waste of money only.

He wanted to sell the bike off after respraying to the original colour red, but the the shop asking abt the original sticker. If not will deduct $200 off from the bike sales.

you need to remove the front wheel to access the hub. And if its spoilt, you need to buy the entire set of cable. If you think you are comfortable with hand tightening of the front wheel. Yes it can be done without going to the shop. But then. It will be a whole different story if you open the hub and the plastic piece is intact. :goodluck:

hi guys,

i'm new here and just ordered my runner from Bike Production few days ago.. However got some noob questions to ask.. Sorry if its any repeated questions but there are too many runner links around, dunno which to look and decided to start in this thread..

i plan to install my IU at the place (when in the seated position, the place just above the left knee area.. told you im a noob, sorry).. however BP don't provide services to install it there, only at the common handlebar area.. so any guys know where to purchase the IU which they can drill and place it there? and how much would it cost?

another thing, what are the necessities that a new runner owner should buy? heard the fuel tank cap thingy runs in water easily.. so what would be the solutions?

sorry if you guys can help, have totally no knowledge on this beautiful machine, need your enlightenment..

saw a y125z do that before, and he told me he made in malaysia bike shop(IU i mean)

for the fuel tank,u can have 2 way to solve it.

1 = go to taihin and they have a way to fix the fuel cap hole in order to stop water from leaking in.

2 = fix a leather cloth or something to cover up the fuel cap.

hope it help u.

thanks bro. heard is a lxx jxxx bike shop. guess he change some lousy parts to my bike before handling over me. thats is wat i suspect.

kevlar belt good anot? dr pully gd anot?

sorry...i'm too new/noob to runner. pls give me advice. =)

my first hand experience with Dr Pulley sliding rollers:

Went to Tai Hin on Sat morning to change to Dr Pulley sliding roller from my Malossi ones. Boss recommended me 10.5g ones. mechanic warned me dat my belting is cracked. But it was juz changed for a week from another shop. was an original Piaggio belt. was charged 60++. Boss quoted me 2 more months before i have to change the belt.. U-clip was loose also. went home a proud man.proud to be owner of Dr Pulley rollers.. TIME: 1330hrs

Was going on SLE at 110km/h when suddenly bike started skidding for at least 30m.was super freaked out!! called back Tai Hin and boss told my belting gone liao. towed bike back to tai hin and changed belting, u-clip and other parts which was damaged coz of the incident.

original price:

DAYCO kevlar belting: $90

Dr Pulley sliding roller: $65

Dr Pulley U-clip: $18

total: $173

price i had to pay:

dayco kevlar belt: $90

sliding roller: $65

u-clip: $18

big roller between variator and rear wheel: $45

towing charge and labour: $55

total price plus other minor2 things: $314

lesson learned!!

hahas.

one more!

experiencing a runner skidding on highway at 110km/h: PRICELESS!!

anyone have a reply on the IU thingy? kinda need help on that most importantly as BP rushing me to give a answer if i want to fix it at the handlebar area.. im afraid no 1 does installation of IU separately, or its too expensive to do it..

Hi,

I've done some research.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gilera

Gilera is an Italian motorcycle manufacturer founded in Arcore in 1909 by Giuseppe Gilera. Thus we shall use the Italian pronunciation guide.

http://www.smartphrase.com/Italian/it_pronunciation.shtml

Consonants (and combinations)

g

• before e or i - like g in gymnastics

• otherwise - like g in go

http://www.askoxford.com/languages/it/toi_italian/pronunciation/?view=uk

Sample of pronunciation

http://www.askoxford.com/mp3/i_ge.MP3

Thus by right Gilera is pronounced as 'jee le ra' not the hard 'gee le ra'.

Just to clear things up.

Posted

wow... u seem like a gilera fanatic

yes, in fact bro chlee done well to inform...

in my line of work, i always encounter people saying Ghee-le-ra instead of the correct G-le-ra.

then again, lets side track...alot of people always pronounce PIAGGIO as Pa-Kio o_O , it should be Pia-jio. I even have a lady who went to Piaggio showroom and tell the staff there she is here to interview for Sale Consultant for PEUGEOT!!!! *faint*

Have put words that sound like the syllables.
