ya lor.. i tomolo wanan go fix alarm liao.. but scared takes alot of spaces leh.. and also any bro out here know any shop knows how to do install in runner? and the best price??

 

as in.. i can anyhow go shop and fix or i should just go to those scooter shop?

 

most importantly price is right.. i dunwanna pay an over priced alarm.. any1?

got different brands of alarm and different features. Loudness also got difference. Got to see what is your requirement and budget.

 

Its better to buy and fix together. The shops at Kallang area have what you need. I guess its better for shops that everyday touch scoot to fix it up for you as they are more familiar with the wire routing. feel free to call me if need any help. i'll try my best to help if its within my means.

bros, anybody knows where i get duplicate spare key for my 06 runner? cost?

 

anyway, read from the manual comes with 2 keys(1 master key) and a code card? did anyone get the code card or is it kept by the bikeshop? what does the code card do ar?

Im back on pilot sports currently again...it did solve abit of my tank slapping problem at higher speeds

The new Runner VXR RST tires size r front 120/70-14, rear 130/60-13.

Currently can get Michelin gold standard everywhere.

 

Good news is pilot sport coming to town! 130/60-13 already in town, 120/70-14 coming in few weeks time.

the code card supposedly contains information that allows them to duplicate another set of keys for you should u lose all of ur keys

the spare key for 06 runner has not arrived to singapore yet... the master key will be kept with the bike shop if u havent finish paying ur installment...

Thks giles_lim for the info, was about to make a trip down to PSC...so only psc can make the spare key ar?

 

anyway, my bikeshop passed me the master key instead, quite bulky, sian..

 

btw, did the bikeshop give you the code card?

i lost my spare key... so i have no choice but the use the original one... i think psc can duplicate the key... i pay 50 deposit for my master key coz i havent finish my installment yet... dunno about the code card...

2)wat to do after runnin in??

3)wen to change engine oil wat engine oil is gewd n how much??

4)wen shud i change d belting?? shud i change d whole set??

5)wen shud i top up coolant??

6) sum pple say wen u say engine oil, nid to change oil filter too rite?? im quite newbie so wat is oil filter?? how much does it cost??

7) which roller u recommend??

1) There are a lot of different run in style... some pple just whack their new bike to the max... some bike prefer to stay below 80 km/h... so stay below 80 km/h for 1000km some 1500km some 2000km... some send it to dyno jet for run in... some say that u no need to run in as when the assemble the parts the bike is already run in... seriously it's up to one individual...

 

for my case i dun run in must stop running in at 1000km... but my limit is 90 km/h but sometime whack over 90 km/h during running in... what the manual say is do no stay at the same speed... open n close ur throttle when u r running in... that means dun alway stay at 80km/h when u r at the xpressway... sometime 75km/h sometime 80km/h some other times 85km/h...

 

2) after running in u have to change ur engine oil n do servicing...

 

3) seriously this is also up to individual again... some change at 4000 some change at 3000 some change at 2500 others at2000... but i recommend u to change every 3000km if u will to use fully sync(around $20).... 1500 for semi sync (around $10)... change EO at the those bike shop the service auto scooter... their EO is more suitable for us... dun change at those shop that service sport bike...

 

4) bike change at 12000km(recommend by piaggio) but still up to individual... some change at 10000km some even cchange at 18000km... u have to change the roller n u shoe too.. when u reach 12000km u need to do a full servicing which includes cleaning of transmission at everything... bike shops has package for that... so do go n ask...

 

5) serious i dunno... i have travel 10000km already but have top up any coolant b4.. but i think they will top up 4 u when u do ur full servicing...

 

6) every 2 EO change 1 oil filtre change... oil filter cost around $15...

anybody experience their fan turning on? mine turn on twice already, in slight traffic jam condition, temp is ard halfway pt...

 

got some scuff marks on the black plastics parts, you all use what to maintain? will those dashboard cleaners selling at petrol stations do the trick?

the fan is suppose to turn on at halfway pt

how old is ur bike?

maybe u need to flush ur coolant or ur thermostat is faulty

How u experience ur fan is turn on?? u can feel it issit??

this is noormal... maybe after running in ur fan wont turn on so often...

 

ya u can use those solution that clean dashboard...

yup, can hear the fan, quite loud...anyway you take off the coolant cap can check if there's enough coolant or not..

to see the coolant level think you need to take the font panel off

 

sian, want to make spare key also cannot...

2) the servicing is the normal one... i also dunno what they do to my bike coz they bring my bike to their workshop n dun alot cust to go in... to my i know they with check ur throttle, brakes, pump ur tyre pressure....

 

4) about 200 - 240

 

5) open ur front panel n u will see the coolant holder at the top... there is a min n max mark...

u can feel the vibration n the air vent will have hot air blown out...

hais.. sad case sia.. just now PEI tamp there saw a white lancer kena bang onto another car.. then i go home back PIE tat time just saw the white lancer drive off from the accident area.. then the driver was like knn driving like his own track..
