ironically, the decision to retrieve the ban could well be based on economics too

although there's no figures at hand to substantiate this claim, it seems pretty clear that a big portion of JB's blossoming economy is supported by S$. cutting the petrol is just going to get a domino effect on the rest of the goods and services. shopping in JB isn't as cheap as it was in the 90s, but we're still flocking in because of the big "bonus" of cheap petrol, apart from getting out of the concrete jungle. cut the bonus, the residual draw isn't as strong to pull people through the hassle of passport "errors", traffic jams and risk of being robbed across the causeway.

but i guess those going in for "nightlife" isn't going to be much deterred

oops... what if your tank runs dry within the 50km zone???:faint:

truth is out there... being revealed is a matter of time :cheeky:

I think if your petrol runs out, you still can get, but at the higher price.

hmmm..................... i think this is a win-win situation for sillyporean.....

Boost the local economy

Lower chance of crime encounter

lower wear and tear

see less fatal accident rates in NSHW involving sg bikers

soar in aero industry ( more flights to neighbouring countries)

Closure of JB economy... bye bye Iskandar Project

hahahah

Read from "my paper" today that Malaysian Government side has extend the 50km blanket date to 19 June 2006 due to some issues.

Think they must have gotten left, right and centre from various business association and etc.

Can anyone confirm this ?

If this is true, Harlo Petrol, here I come and harlo Malaysia, I am here to spend again

Nope, so no more worries. However, know we have to know whether in the future would it be subsidise rate or non subsidise rate for foreign vehicles.

Hope it is non subsidise rate for cars and subsidise rate for motocycles and scooters

I know big cow has posted the message but malaysia side info are not very reliable. Hence, when I read the paper today, I just wanna double confirm :cheeky:

Just back from Korea tour.

Only in Seoul did I get to see more bikes. Mainly 200cc-250cc scoots though.

Happen to discover a street full of bike shops behind my hotel and saw the Can-Am Spyder (990cc). A very big and nice 3-wheeler (like the MP3) but using big tyres like car's.

Most scoots also fixed with LEDs and after-market mufflers.

2017

11 - 25 Nov - 15D, Taiwan - Fly and Scoot

2018

7 - 15 Apr - 9D, Phuket and Hatyai Songkran

17 Nov to 2 Dec - 16D, North East Thailand (Issan)

2019

30 Mar to 7 Apr - 9D Korea/Jeju Fly and Ride

8 - 24 Nov - 16D, Mae Hong Son

today finally i get my SW out from Looi's, will like to share some my feels for the 1st 36km feel...

1st stop was to go to SPC bedok and get the tank fill up... during the journey was a little too careful as not very used to SW... so i decided go for a short cruise along ECP to have lunch at fav. beach Rd.

during the journey was really enjoyable... never did i know that SW was so silent ( i wearing full face ) and smooth, i almost tok am i riding a hybrid bike instead.. weather was hot but realised that this SW dont really get over heat as easily as class 2 bike.. hmm not bad after all.

2nd challange came in as i remember from reviews that the main stand was difficult so i give it a try... positive again, it wasn't that difficut after all.

after lunch heading back home, try the tyres ( run in a little more effort ) and performerances, realised that despite SW was heavy and big in size... actually it was quite nimble regardless of big/small corner , that was 2 time i almost being control by SW as in during corners SW tendercy to go even lower position but i need to lift it up by adding more acceleration, its easy to counter back too...

To summary up, my apologised if it sound 'kwah zhang' & also poor english :cheeky: but what i trying to say is SilverWing is a great bike for me to own... or rather it is as gd as what reviews been written down here.

Thank u for ur patient to read up what i have written...
