Yup. the 2 screws near the idling. ** Hmm... was the original setting 1/2 turn out? Not sure.

Any bike shop that service big bikes (multi-cylinders) should/must have this.

 

A note though... there are 2 set of outlets (got rubber tubes connected) that can be used to tune:

 

1. 1 pair near the airbox side, which is the correct one.

2. 1 pair more visible and near the idling screw, is for the auto choke.

 

 

 

That's what I was told but some mechanics may differ.

My mech used the airbox side for setting and bike was ultra smooth.

1 time setting should last for 10k at least so no need waste $$ everytime go check. Bike shop got service charge for using the equipment de.

 

What is used are VACUUM gauges - They normally come in sets of four on a board with all the hoses and air tight connectors. They were essential for use after carburetors were stripped and rebuilt.

 

What i got were two single vacuum gauges - the type they use for older sport cars or even trucks with pneumatic systems - had them callibrated so that the readings were indentical if used on just one side. Then mounted them on a piece of Styrofoam board and together with some clean / clear plastic hose attached to the stubs on each side of the intake flanges (you first must remove the screw covers). Then just adjust till you get optimum balance and same readings on both gauges. ITS NO BIG DEAL. The gauges cost around $25 each. At a pinch you could also use just ONE and do each side seperately.

Urgent!!

 

My friend just completely screwed his air/fuel mix. Not sure what he was trying to do.

Now he don't know what's the original standard setting.

 

Can anyone tell me what's the number of turns (anti-clockwise) is the original setting?

 

I don't think most shop will know the exact numbers cos they normally only need to minor adjust during tuning.

For info, my air/fuel mix is near 2 turns anti-clockwise from the closed position.

At that position, the lowest your idling can go is 1000rpm (where your idling screw is no longer effective).

But... mech says FI normally don't have fixed number of turns for both cylinders as long as they're balanced.
