Woooo.

Just read my motor insurance from Mitsui.

My 3rd party FT cost $508 (w/ GST) per year without NCB.

And... not sure if it covers fire & thief in malaysia or that it is covered but must pay $1000 as Excess?

ride with care bro... hope you have an enjoyable and safe trip :thumb:

you will enjoy the comfort from the SW's windshield which Vara doesn't have :D but do note that the SW's handling is very different from the Vara... smaller wheels, bigger turning circle, "free wheelie" below certain revs, weight & distribution, tank is not between legs for "kiapping", etc. don't forget to eye the blinking fuel indicator... ours usually blinks around 280+kms with another 3+L reserves. my max was 360+km and topped up 15+L (risky) ;)

probably the most important of all... take it easy on the speed ya, new bike needs a proper run-in

:goodluck:

Hey Scooby,

Thanks for the heads up. Really Appreciate it. Hope to see ya round. Bike is bare. so jus wanna see and know what i can do... :thumb: :thumb:

I wanna pimp my ride.... :thumb:

Never done such a thing before, so not sure if it should be balanced at every tyre change.

nice..

where you got the fork seal protector?

and your vista cruise?

you mirror is so cool...

The fork seal protectors are actually used in S4 Spec 2 n above. U can get them from FJT. The Vista Cruise is from tis website:

http://www.casporttouring.com/store/merchant.mvc?page=CST/PROD/Vista-Cruise/168

The mirrors with integrated turn signals were actually meant for Sports bike and bought for my Busa. It just doesn't look nice on it and therefore left lying around collecting dust. After gotten my SWing, the idea just happened to come across my mind on " Why not install them on the SWing so that it wun become a white elephant!" Afterwhich, took the mirrors and dismantled the arms using oni the mirrors, gotten another set of mirrors of less than 10 bucks from LAB, dismantled them and using oni the arms which can fit onto the Swing mirror threading. Assembled both together complete and gotten them mounted. Got to run the wires out of the mirrors to get the lights worked (tat's the other brain cracking problem!!!). Finally done with the lights working as pilot lights as well as turn signals. :cheeky:

Cool !!!!

Very chio. :cheeky:

How much u spent all in all?

Btw, what is the use of the room light switch?

U mean the light for the underseat compartment ?

Din really take down the expenditure on these add-ons but I tink it doesn't cost much I guess cos I've saved quite a bit on labor as most of it, or if not all, re DIY-ed. Just bought the parts off the shelf without on the spot installation.

Bingo, its an on/off switch for the light under the seat compartment.

Was too early to go Sim Lim Tower for LEDs so stopped by for coffee with Clifford.

Gave your friend Edwin (? the one with the small retro bike) a ride to Sim Lim too.

I normally go to botak for servicing of my scoot. I believe he does repair work n tyres change for scoots as well..

For more sophisticated work like wheel balancing, i don't think his workshop has e capability as he does not have e machine.

Where do u normally service your scoot?

By right, one ought to do a wheel balance after each tyre change.

For scoot, i think only need to balance the front tyre. Not sure e requirement for bikes though.

If i'm not wrong, the shop should do e wheel balance for u after change of tyre. But u must "remind" them la, since its additional work.. Hee

I wheel balance my front wheel once before only, before my last trip at Future S.

Hey Guys,

Since I am a newbie here and am pretty interested in meeting as many of you, I intend to ask if there is any issues from anyone to set a date for a meet-up / DIY for all or as many SWings members here. We could do a DIY session and also a teh/kopi session.

Not sure where you guys normally hang out or how often, so I hope I can meet and learn abt the bike from you fellow dudes....

Cheers....

bro u changed front and rear? Wats the damage? :)

As requested, here's sharing some of the DIY-ed stuffs done on my 1month plus old SWing. :cheeky:

excellent mods

for me, i'm particularly interested in the right switch assembly that comes with the secondary assembly; 3 additional switches can be very handy, e.g. for under carriage led lights, fog lights, toggle for stock & air/electric horn, etc.

i guess we must all be aware that these mods will likely void our warranty :cheeky:
