Ermax windshields tent to be thicker and cheaper than Givi's kind. but fixing a higher windshield means u going to get a lower FC, poorer pick up and top end and your engine tent to be more stressful.

Because MAYBE Silverwing riders are more law abiding ! ! He He He ! On the other hand there is nothing around that will improve performance or fuel consumption - so maybe all that extra noise gonna get you nowhere faster - except to LTA !!

 

You really want the noise and more power then get DUNSTAL or CAMPBELL exhaust from the UK (and i dont mean Ukraine or Uganda). But your FC going to be less than 14 km per lter.

then go for Arrow or Leo Vince lo......

but from my friend, Arrow dun give any gain in power.

Arrow, Leo Vince and Giannelli offers aftermarket exhaust for SWing and I think it should not be difficult to get them locally cos there're distributors here.

 

Base on what I've gathered from the manufacturer's site, Arrow and Giannelli have only the slip-ons whereas Leo Vince has a full system for SWing. Perhaps that's why for Arrow, there's not much power gain cos its oni a slip-on? Think the main take away for changing into aftermarket exhaust is slashing down a bit of the weight. Juz my tiny 2 cents.

Go mah motor cyclenet. Look for Elyn Goh. .She is in charge of Givi accessories. This touring windshield cost bout 200++ .... .GOod luck

looks is a matter of personal preference

 

the stock exhaust looks pretty cool to me... better looking than those of majesty, burgman, X9, MP3, etc. and even the LV as far as my personal preference is concerned

only complaint is... its darn expensive if u need to replace (even the chrome face-plate)

Since Mah took over Givi, price have been mark up. Another alternative is to enquire from LAB or go for the Ermax windshields which is brought in by Motoworld. But on the website, currently can't see much. best is to go down to either branch to look at the 2008 Catalog. Price range not exceeding $180.

i'd been using ermax windsheild for quite a while already, its not bad. very wide, can hide behind when raining..but a bit hot during hot weather cos no much wind oso. As for FC, it doesnt make much of a difference to me though. the wind shield will flex downwards when at high speed. Went up to 170pkh, no problems other then the handle bar a bit shaky.

 

Got it at motoworld early last year i tink, cant remember the price le. but its below $180.

U make sure u going up the slop .. ya bike is slow and straight.. If ur handle bar is not straight. High chance fishtail cos majority of weight is @ rear side.... i encounter once... put down both legs and throttle .......heng ah... .if not... siao liao

Is when u loose your rear tire grip and your rear start to sway left and right. But be careful of high side or low side. High side meaning you loose your rear and suddenly grip back. Tat will cos you to bounce off your bike. Low side meaning sudden loose your rear at a very low angle. You should be able to do a donut by then. Ha ha...

By the way if you all have to frequent MSCP the tip is to apply the left brake gently and use yr throttle play to get DRIVE at slow speeds - it really helps !!

here's my feedback after running on the denso iridium (IUH24) sparkies for a week & 2 petrol refills...

POWER ... the livelier response from the engine is pretty evident

FC deteriorated a bit ... FC dropped from near 25km/L to near 24km/L, maybe due to running about enjoying the speedier pickups

 

my opinion is... its definitely worth a try
