Should say depending on the group you're with, if it's a mix of different CC bikes, best is to maintain around 110~120 to stick together with the group and anyway, NSHW's speed limit is 110...

I don't blame people who doesn't show courtesy, they just didn't get taught on how to do so.

Maintaining at 140kph is not a problem for most Silverwings.... I mentioned "most" because some might experience issues like strong vibrations which are caused by some other factors...

Mine 100% stock, no mod... :D I'm not sure what causes the vibration anyway, only know it from some friends' feedback...

Will test this out one day... :)

Anyway, since the average speed for most of u is 120, should be ok lah, if timing is suitable, will try to join the next trip ..... :cheeky:

vibration only got a few reasons. the common ones are ...

1. tyres out of shape due to uneven left right wear and tear

2. balancer spoil

3. strong left right crosswinds

4. engine trouble

If balancer spoil, this could be tricky to know unless u always travel high speed (>100km/h) right?

Is it felt while travelling above 100 km/h ?

if the vibrations are at the front ( e.g ) , it will be the front tyre uneven wear and tear, only way to prevent it will be change a new tyre, get it balance, pumping the tyre pressure regularly. if you hear the vibrations at the rear, it will be the belt being stretch as the speed hits higher and higher ( e.g. 120 km/h and above ) normal sound lar. Things to check is your belt mileage and change it accordingly to the bike manual.

Other than that, it is consider a tourer scooter for me...

no problem mate, if the front balance dropped off, just find a bike shop which have our tyre and rim size to balance back the wheel rotation, then the front vibrations should be feel minimal liao.. that's what i did before going to cameron.. no unusual vibrations up to 140 km/h leh....
