Sorry for the late response ! But i think keying in all the tips would take all night and make for boring reading ! So either we meet up at some place like suggested in this thread and share our experiences or you cud go to the separate thread that has been put up http://www.singaporebikes.com/forums/showthread.php?t=113114

If we do meet up i should be carrying a carefully put together and bound booklet that includes all the tips and fotos / reviews on the SWs that you could possibly want.

The manual is definitely correct. It is safe to change oil at 12000km. The extremely hot oil circulate through seperate liquid-cooled jacket, just like the engine that has its own jacket. The liquid is cooled by the radiator. Cooler oil won't wear out easily.

As such, i can afford to use the very-expensive super-smooth syn. oil.

The belt, as in manual, is 24000km. But i change it at 65000km when it start to stetch. The belt is durable. Actually SW is very durable!

Real busy with my SW today..

I just changed my tyres from stock IRC to Michellin Pilot Sports.

Then program my spare key at dealer..

And then to LAB to fix my top box cushion...

Phew...

The SW is definitely much more better than my x8.

Round corners, stability, sound of the engine, the glam factor... :lovestruck: :lovestruck:

Everything.............. except for the patrol consumption.....

Eh, not that the IRC not good la...

But we have heard good and bad reviews of the IRC tyres..

So i decided to change into a tyre brand which i have confidence in - Michelin

Was using the Michelin Gold for my x8, very good grip on dry and wet, so that's why i decided to invest in this tyre brand. :)

Hi, sorry i got another question to ask...

At speed of above 50 km/hr, i tend to hear a 'whirling' sound from the engine whenever i hear on throttle... the sound will diminish a bit when i release the throttle a bit... :giddy:

Is it normal?

Any bros here have the same issue?

The reviews on the IRC tires u have always heard from are not those made in Japan 1s right? Wat i've learn from a few SW riders is tat the stock IRC is made in Japan. Works very well on wet and dry. And most scoots (ranging from small to big CC scoots) using the Pilot Sport tires, complain tat its very slippery when in wet. But when dry, perfect. Most tires works ok during dry. But in wet, ?????

For your info, the Michelin Gold Standard is a touring tire. Thus works well even in wet. But the Michelin Pilot Sport is a GP style tire. Can't work during wet. Even big bikes also complaint abt this tire.

My suggestion is, learn to control your bike. Master it. My friend can go up till 180+ km/hr the bike is still so stable. Sometimes its not the balancer. Its could be the tire, air pressure or the balancing of the whole wheel. Its very important to balance your tire after every tire change. Esp if u change to another tire brand or model. And not all mechs know abt tires in and out.

Its not made for Silverwing. But can alter & mod to fit in. But who knows wat happens after water goes in after washing bike or heavy rain? Last thing u want to see is tat, u never know when u need to ride fast, wat if,,, suddenly the balancer flies out? I've seen this happen before. If u can struggle to catch your bike back, Thank God. If u can't, then God Bless.
