Agree with 'ah long' maybe Ano should let a known mech take a look. Btw for the record what i heard about Botak is 'good'.

Just to share experience - the last SW 600 JDM i had was NEW when i got it. After 65000km (with 1 belt change) i took it apart, decoke and did some port improvements on engine with some better valve springs, high lift cams, HC pistons etc and then followed by a complete MALOSSI Race variator kit - was FAST and acceleration almost equal my Norton Rotary F1 - But Oh My Gosh the FC around 10km per liter and all the lights on the panel keep on 're-checking' and warning lights 'blinking' all the time. Eventually i just ignore the lights etc and finally sold off the bike to a crazy Indo.

conclusion...

never mess with your scooter :giddy:

RFID = Radio Frequency Identity Tag.

some of the warehouse are using this technology to find where the good are placed.

they use radio frequency, just leave it inside your scooter, they should be able to detect it.

i did that too.

so far so good. :cheeky:

Any one experience this buzzing sound when u throttle a bit at idling?

My SW tend to produce this buzz sound when i throttle abit, its more significant at idling speed.. like a small vibrating sound..

At 100km/hr close throttle, speed when dropping to 50km/hr, with my front brake depressed, i can fell the buzzing sound in my right handlebar at 60km/hr... A momentarily buzzing sound sound from 60km/hr to 50km/hr lasting for about 0.5sec.....

Anyone experience this? :giddy:

Anyone can advise? :giddy: :giddy:

Can i just quote from a post i just did on the HONDA S4 thread !!!

Warning to All HONDA S4 owners & Riders Who go across the causeway to JB for shopping etc - If you have to leave your bike parked unattended for even 15 minutes please padlock your wheels and your steering lock.

Just remember yours (no matter how old) is the most popular and populous model and WILL get stolen.

Just yesterday My sons S4 was taken from a busy motorcycle park - after being left for Just 15 mins unattended but locked.

There appears to be a syndicate that specialises in this model to cannabalise for spares to fix those going across for their servicing / repairs.

This i hope is a WAKE UP call to a lot of Singapore Bikers to lock up or loose it !

I am just hoping that the SW will not get so popular that some hard up owners or unscrupolous workshops will resort to Targeting the SW. Moral of the story here "Mai hoh Nang Kong" - i.e. Just because it is a good reliable bike and potential tourer DONT spread the word around !!!

Sounds like a loose connection or broken wire in your wire harness ! If not definitely must be due to dampness.

A Previous bike i owned had something like this from New (BMW) - finally traced to the blooming ERP reading unit wiring which was very badly installed by splicing wires - disposed the thing and after that running normal.

How come your NEW bike so much problem ? Maybe you are not used to all the sounds being magnified by all that TUPPERWARE that encloses the engine and running mechanism - if the bike running normally i suggest you just get used to all those sounds - Remember the saying - IF IT AI'NT BROKE DONT FIX IT.

It is indeed a cause of concern for me.

My scooter (being a Suzuki) makes a lot of mechanical noise.... I've grown to ignore it and just thrash it! :cheeky:

Hi Kris,

This has been happening for long time... 5

In our frenly neighbour, brand new S4 spec III right now selling for 48,999rm

Brand New CBR 1000 2007 is selling for 89,899rm...

So you think why our bike is so WORTHY of the syndicate?

Over here S4 only 13.5K OTR.... so much diff.

Of course they will prey on our bikes.

As long as those that they have in range, we will be a target for their spare parts. Its is a vicious cycle.
