i got a qn.. juz pass fyi..

 

how is the height like for this bike? i'm 1.7m..

some bikes i sat on were too short and i have this kneecap cramp abit..

 

can one lar.. i 1.7m also, can put the whole feet on the road no need bend knee at junction..

 

my personal opinion: its ok for ppl ard this height to ride DNA, looks not bad.. any taller than 1.8m and u look like a clown riding a tiny bike.. hee.. personal opinion only ar..

I got stationary left fall as some one knock onto my back. Bike was physical okay but some fuel leaking which stop after some while.

 

After starting e bike, got a funny sound(since after e fall), sitting on e bike with both legs on the ground, there is dis sound, but when i let e bike lean slightly to e right, e sound is gone.

 

Anyone encounter dis prob b4? Izzit something loose in connection inside?

 

Went to kallang ind, e mech tell mi nothing wrong when stationary fall n leakage of petrol, n ltr add if u wan to check, is wat n wat prob & need to change dis n tat when he nv even examine my bike....

i've been riding my dna for about 2 and a half years.

 

recently, i went to taihin to change my rear suspension as it was leaking. and today when i went to collect it, the suspension looked completely different.

 

was wondering if anyone could tell me if the one he attached to my bike is original. it's different from the one i had before but i'm not sure if it's a different version or if it's completely not the original at all.

 

because if this isn't the original for dna, i'm going back to have him remove it.

anyway how much did the replacement cost u.

 

if not mistaken the original is about $300 bucks when i checked at piaggio.

When i was at wonderful motor, was told 180-200 per piece... Darn exp...

Ya. The original setup does not have any oil in it. It looks close to the original thing, but it is upside down as the preload adjuster is practically unreachable!

i got it $220 for the pair. I called Piaggio and it's about $180 for ONE side. The usual shop i go to (Poh San) found a place selling it for $164 per side.

 

i might just leave it on anyway. it's lower than the one i had. and maybe coz it's new? but its not very soft, i can feel more of the road than i usually do. that's normal right for new suspensions?

 

If it's alright for the bike (issit alright?), I'll leave it.

 

don't have a picture for my old suspension but i'm sure as hell it was leaking. heh.

 

hmmm recently had my front shox serviced and changed my HT coil as well. coz i was having occasional blanks then power surges when i throttle.

u left a note on my bike almost a year and a half back when i was parked next to the mosque (cairnhill?) in town. i'm not much for gatherings.

thats the same as my previous suspension, and that's the one i found massively leaking.

 

see, im not sure if its supposed to be that one, or the new one?

yes they are original but as it has been said before they are up side down. Adjuster needs to be on the top for two reason one naturally to easy adjustment two bottom is not centered like top so wont scrap the tire or rear guard. And keeps the suspension straight. And last yes they do have oil in the shockers( originals ). Mine was leaked heaps two weeks ago. And I got it changed to gas ones from YSS

Think the plastic sleeve cracks after a while, anyway, you can use a super 4 set of suspension, less then $100 a set.

no oil one leh.... remember i bought my DNA new? Where the hell is the oil man... it spilt into 2 if u remember my story.

there was some resistance in turning the back wheel when parked. at first i tot its the break padding, cos its new that its rubbing against the disc thus creating resistance.. when to shop number 1, checked roughly, then changed the bearing at the clutch.. say ok.. but i feel still the same.

 

went to shop number 2, ask them to do thorough check including the break. true enough, break calipper slanted then dragging at disc. (stupid shop number 1)

 

niway, adjusted but resistance still there.. do through checks say gears inside the gear box is worn out.. say recommended to change to gearings used by runner vxr.. is it feasible to change to that. its 2 gears (one big one small) inside the gear box near the wheel. the gear teeth are slanted..

Y bother about it? think its quite usual for the DNAs. If u got to change. Change the damn disc.

Well, I was riding a frend's DNA for awhile and he had a clear 'windscreen', 'bubble', whatyoumaycallit.. And he said that a black one would be nice.. So I got one for him..

 

After which, we both changed our minds about it..

 

LOLs.. So.. If any of you guys want one, just let me know.. I'll be happy even with 30 bucks!
