hey people.. i am trying to decide between a s4 spec 3/revo and x8 400cc.

can briefly tell me whats the maintenance like for x8 400cc?

I only know that timing belt and EO have to change at a fixed mileage. Is there a need to wash carb?

What are the other things that required?

Is the parts for a x8 expensive?

As i am quite big in size, i am worried about the supsension which seems quite fragile.

How much will a pair of shock cost?

Whats the max speed a x8 can cruise comfortably?

Thanks :)

bro, imo..... both are of different league....

if u prefer comfort and compartment, go for x8 400 but if u want speed, go for S4.

Euro parts are normally more ex. than asian parts.... shocks wise u can source for after markets one..... if i not wrong x8 400 should be able to cruise easily at 120-130km/h comfortablely.....

the rest of the maintenance is not much diff from the normal piaggio auto gear scooters..... belt, ushoe, rollers,EO, coolant, oil filter etc etc..... but if i not wrong, the tyres should be cheaper than S4 ones..... EO and spark plug think also lesser than S4 ones.... the rest not too sure....

hi, I own a X8 200 and have a rear box. Would like to ask any bro here to explain how to open the rear storage lid even with the top case mounted. I tried turning a knob but the knob just came out after awhile and I still can't lift the rack upwards. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

Must take a look 1st.... if it's bumps.... then i would advise u to change as we are approaching wet season very soon... or u can ask Botak abt it....he will be able to advise u change or not......

My belt makes funny noises like it can't "connect" and move, especially when carrying load and moving off. What gives? Any idea? And the best thing is, it happens on and off without warning.

I don't think its aftermarket one. Using stock belt and rollers from Future Scootering at Kallang when I did my 15k service there.

After the servicing, initially there wasn't any sort of "grinding" sound but after 2 or 3k later, the "grinding" sound started on & off irregularly.

But only when I start to realise if I were to pillion someone or to move off really slow, chances of the "grinding" sound appearing will increase.

A point to note, before I reach my 15k benchmark for servicing the belt and rollers, the "grinding" sound started beforehand and I thought it was due to the worn belt which wouldn't grip well enough to drive the scoot off.
