update.bought the complete set of radiator hoses and connectors including radiator cap...planning to change all..and if can change the seal inside the water pump as well...

Why didn't you do a coolant flush? You cn change all the hoses, caps et but if its clogged up with rust, high chance that flow is not smooth enough.

U mentioned u used water rite? Our fatgerl tends to generate lotsa heat so using water alone is highly unrecommendable. Either use coolant mixture or aftermarket cooling agents like Engine Ice or water-wetter. Dis might solve your aching worries.

The aftermarket hoses I mentioned for our fatgerl cn be found at HKL. I didn't change full set of hoses sometime back. Simply replace the 'broken & cracked' ones. No more worries till date..

Quick questions:

For those who are just weekend riders of the Vara, how often do you service your bike? How many km?

Normal tyre pressures (front and back) for single rider, and just a topcase?

Thanks.

what service you looking for....there isn't any thing to look out for. Just make sure the batty don't go flat..i only ride on weekend or friday kopi meetup but u need to watch out the tyre pressure...will drop drastically eg. 2-3 week pressure drop around 20-30psi. Lastly, always keep track of your EO especially during long distance ride....eat up EO easily.

Normal maintenance 5-6k change of EO together with oil filter, 10k change 2 spark plug, coolant flush 20-25k, batty change after 2 year, clean air filter ard 10-15k, fuel filter 10-20k
