Hey guys. planning to chage my chainset. Currently riding a spark. What brand would you guys suggest?

common famous brands r DID or RK but its not the brand u should look for.

tensile strength of the chain, tat means how much pulling force it can take.

small bikes use chain with 428 pitch, tat goes for the sprockets too as a set.

big bikes use chain with 520 pitch.

 

chain tensile strength, the higher its strength r, the lesser it will stretch (elongation).

u dun have to adjust the chain very often.

 

cheap china-made heavy-duty chain tensile strength usually r 4,500 ft/lbs.

chain rollers lubricant r seal with "O" ring, "X" ring, "W" ring n best of all chains is "WX" ring.

 

if u do google search, u can check their tensile strength from manufacturers.

best "WX" ring chain have the highest tensile strength, 428 pitch will be about 5,400~5,600 ft/lbs (i think).

 

dun buy those cheap china-made chain becoz u dun know their quality r, even tho it may state very high tensile strength.

 

last, dun forget to lubricate the chain every 1,000km with chain lub.

u dun have to spray a lot, just along the rubber seal betwn the plates.

otherwise it will spill all over n dirty the rear tire rim.
