Had a post regarding vibration noises from the back of the bike. Isolated the noise to the box and rack. Placed two towels in between the box and rack hoping to absorb the vibrations, but it didn't work...

 

I'm using a SHAD SH48 box and rack, anyone else have the same issue?

 

That's the problem with snap on Top Boxes......I gave away my Givi and rack totally cos of the noise. And installed the H&B, though also snap on, there are proper cushioning and the fitting is so secure and tight there is no room for any free play between the contacts.

Just out of curiousity, anyone keen in getting this windscreen? its made in athens, cost is 60euros which is about 100 singapore dollars.

 

I'm seeing if they are able to send it over to singapore.

 

It comes in clear, and 3 shades of smoke, 25% 50% and 75%.

Something to consider..

 

i believe the picture below is 75% smoke.

I wonder how much taller is this screen, I would reckon I will need 20cm higher than my current stock one, whish is adjusted to the taller setting already.

I using same box as you. Problem for me. You could try getting those round rubber bumpers from homefix. And paste them on your base plate to make a tighter fit.

Yah those they paste at the bottom of chair legs that kind. Can give it a try.

MY givi set is fine so far though, but the box light is not working due to the height

When u solved the rattling between the base plate and the bottom of the box, the next area of annoyance comes from the box and the lid. There are free play for the most expensive of plastic top boxes.

 

For the bottom, you can try using non slip mat, two ply to act as a cushion. For the lid/top cover I have seen ppl using aquarium hose to line the edges to kill the vibration.

That's good. Brake pads are quite easy to DIY.
