I recently joined the taiwan maxsym Facebook page. Maxsym abs version just launched over there. They are soooo active in the page! Posting so many things I have difficulty catching up haha mainly due to the massive amount of chinese characters to read..zzz..

Anyway they posted this quite interesting..dunno how they route the cable up. Looks very neat and tidy.

Yeah I joined that fb page too. This guy route the cable through the handle bar cover then to the USB port (I guess). There's lots of space to route the cables. I opened up many time already. Can easily route to the built in USB or cig port.

Just to share, two way alarm drains your battery life faster than one way and shortens your battery life span. Moreover our battery is quite expensive.

Good point.

Was feeling a bit pek chek after 2 unsuccessful attempts to buy used alarms in this forum over the past week. One scorpio i800 and one spy 5000 two way.

ya i oso abit cautious about putting alarm on our bike. the dreaded "cannot push start" situation makes me worried abt adding all these power draining devices. but of cux if u wire it up properly and use a gd quality alarm, im sure it shud be fine. considering out battery quite big in terms of capacity. if daily ride, shouldn't be an issue i guess.

i also putting off any electrical mods until my warranty is up, just in case.

A ride a day, keeps the doctor away!

My headlight assy crack just now while traveling on the expressway some metal rod fly from the front n hit my headlight. Is it cheaper to buy in sin or jb? Can anyone advice 93809462. Thanks.

Have you managed to changed out your headlight unit?

My right assembly kinda melted, and both left and right seems to have vapours (condensation) after morning rides......

Is it normal that our headlamps feels so hot? Getting increasing suspicious that the cover is melting under the heat.....hmmm....no more warranty.....How to make a case to SYM HQ (Taiwan)? Going to Mah is traumatic.....

Our stock brake pads are made of normal material, checked by a mechanic locally.

The left caliper brake pads are not evenly worn, only one piece worn off and the other piece of the brake pad left 80%.

As a consumer it's a darn waste of hard earned $$$.

Really weird that our rims in front is 15 inch and the rear is 14 WTH.

Dont flame me as i am a newbie with thanks.

Hi Bro, i encountered the similar situation as yours but only after heavy rain will it cause vapours and visible in the night only.

I claimed a new set, after installation still faces the same problem.

If i am not wrong, after i analysis most likely either design or QC problems.

For those thinking of sending your bikes to Mah for repair, i strongly suggest save your time, effort and $$$.

Because i went in the early afternoon yesterday, IAN ALBA sales executive have strict orders that they are not accepting any more bikes even for simple repairs. Because due to the influx of bikes during the CNY period.

I suggest that you take photos of other Maxsyms to make a healthy comparison and email directly to SYM.

You can either take those photos at a meet up or at Mah, since they have so many samples.

I am busy with my work schedule, keep us posted of the results with thanks in advance.Cheerios

There's a slight difference in fuel tank storage between those with Abs and without Abs.

From Mah it stated 14.7 litres although not ABS, contradicting isnt it?

Less 0.5l... Strange. If anything, you'd think an extra device would take up more space.

I don't think so, as it's directly in the same position as the backrest.

For myself, I plan to install the box cushion instead.

Sounds like an alternative, but the bracket is made of plastic.

Through vibrations, weather, constant and consistant pressure from pillion lying on the box is strongly not advisable.

Post up a picture when you had installed the cushion.

I came across this>http://www.cleardefender.com/2012-sym-maxsym-400-full-clear-bra-kit.html.

Better options for better protection will be crash bars to those accident prone areas.

Wow looks good but got to look for professionals to paste the film I guess..scarly ownself paste slanted or got bubbles..
