Just have to monitor for any irregularity on battery usage meanwhile I'm disconnecting the batt for prolonged inactivity.

I just came back from two weeks holiday

Was worried

But came back started the bike and all is well

No problem for me

Confirm, if i didn't start my engine, the IU do not have power. I tested by inserting my cashcard and there was no response at all UNTIL i turn on my engine.

@naim, yours is different?

yup different. mine is always on. i guess when they prepared ur bike, the connected it to the ignition instead of a constant live supply.

Hi, I have a question on maxi scooters. Prev on my steed, 1 prob I had was that when going over a bump, due to the forward pegs, I cant use my legs to relieve some pressure off my back like how I can on my prev super 4. Was wondering will I have this issue too on a maxi scooter ? because I observe that maxi scoots all have forward feet placing positions. And that could be a potential issue for me ( due to my not so strong lower back ) like what happened when I rode my Honda steed. Thanks.

yes u might face similar issues because even when u put ur feet on the flat floorboard area, most likely the knees are bent at 90 degrees with your thighs horizontal to the ground (basically ur legs forward), so will make it difficult to stand as well. unlike naked bikes where u legs are directly below ur seating area.

you can wire the cig socket direct to the battery. put a fuse for safety.

That's what I did just yesterday. Except for the fuse part...LOL. Have to get a fuse.

Thanks.

Oil and filter every 5k km (though personally i find it better to chg oil every 3k and oil filter 6k)

Gear oil 10k km

Belt and rollers recommended 15k, but can be stretched to 20k safely. (+- $300 inclusive labour)

wow, $300 for belt n rollers only? seems a little on the high side to me. But not difficult to change ourselves rite? Wonder where can find parts for Maxsym

Parts alone will be in the region of $250. Labour depends on which shop. With the right tools, u can DIY like i do. Will save alot in the long run. Parts can get from Mah (agent) or Weda (parts supplier)

looks good, except that they stuck with the single cylinder design. 600cc single will be really vibey. unless they can balance it out well. still lose out in terms of power and weight to silverwing600 though. so they have to make sure the pricing is done properly. if under 18k, not too bad. potentially my next upgrade.
