My friend going to scrap the bike, but how to do so?

 

How will we get back the remaining insurance $?

A) Scrapping of vehicle

 

Obtain a Transaction Pin.

Submit an online application to de-register your vehicle.

 

 

Send the vehicle to one of the Appointed Scrap Yard Operators within 5 calendar days of your online application. Otherwise, the application will lapse and you will have to re-apply.

 

 

Bring along the following:

 

a) Duly completed de-registration application form;

 

b) Original NRIC (Singaporean, Singapore PRs & Malaysian) or Passport (foreigner other than Malaysian) of submitter if the vehicle owner has appointed a 3rd party/ submitter to submit the car for de-registration and has indicated the 3rd party/ submitter's particulars when applying to de-register the vehicle online;

 

c) Road Tax Fees (if the road tax is outstanding at the point of vehicle de-registration).

 

Land Transport Authority (LTA) will notify the last registered owner of the vehicle's de- registration, the details of any PARF/COE rebate(s) and/or arrears of road tax/late renewal fee(s), if applicable.

Bike shop can help u scrap at a fee of $20-$30 i think. Then they can help u strip down the parts u want too but at a fee also laa. Btw, if your fren wanna sell his IU unit to me, I'm interested. Text me at 90670682. Thanks. The insurance u need to call up the insurance agent to get the money back. But if u use more than 6 mnths alrdy. Most likely cannot get back any $
