Honda CBF 150 Engine Suddenly Died!

Hi everyone.

 

I got a problem I want to know regarding my bike.

 

My Honda CBF 150 bike, I was riding in gear 5 and then suddenly the bike started to jerk back and forth when I throttle. Then when I drop down gear to slow down and come to a halt, the engine died suddenly, even before I came to a stop. When I tried re-starting the engine again immediately, it is not possible. However, after some time, the engine can start and I can move off, and go up to gear 5. However, after some time, the same problem described above, happens again (engine died suddenly when drop gear or come to a stop).

 

Can anyone help enlighten me with this problem of mine? I sent to workshop once before to solve this problem and after 1 and a half weeks of riding, it was okay. But then today, the same problem happened again.

look like you have a dying electronic components..cdi??rectifyer?.....etc..

intermitten failure symtom bike can run and then fail..and can run later...this is really tough to trouble shoot.

Have you resolved your problems regarding the engine stalled...?

If so, would you be able to share how you resolved the problem. Interested to know how much such problem would cost?

Is it petrol tank empty?

Might be spark plug wet.

i would suggest you check the cables from the alternator to the spark plug..a burned or bad conntection could be the problem..

I have a similar problem before. Many times I went to the workshop to fix this problem. For me, the problem was that my CDI was busted. After changing it, everything is smooth sailing from then onwards.
