$18 per pair. Got them from Ever Success near Mustafa...

Does this include installation?

How does it compare to ebc?

Also, i have that jerky braking effect.

Either disc warp or piston problem right?

The cuts are pretty deep on my disc esp the rear.

Thinking of getting a new set both front and rear.

From sg is 600-800 for the front only.

Ebay china is @250 inclusive of shipping front only. $600 for ebc.

Is it okay to use the cheap disc but perhaps the vesrah brakepads?

Bike is a gsxr 1000 k1.

I beg to differ, some things can be cheap and good. I looked through R1 and R6 forums; there are 2 schools of thoughts. Some brought and tried it, positive reviews.

And those who never tried it are the ones that bashes it; without any empirical facts and own experience to support it. Well to me if those ang mo who ride those bikes like they stole have no problems; then why not??

Ive read GSXR forum and they perform much better than the EBC HH.

Only problem is that only bikelab has it.

Dear brake pads maniacs

Personally find the lack of closure or discussion to brake pulsation on sbf.

Here's my input after weeks of reading on the gsxr.com. gixxer.com, fireblade.com and some car forums

Here's my bedtime story

Bought a 2nd hand ride and felt pulsation when braking at slow speeds.

Brake lever remained constant but it felt like the brake pads and disc were missing a spot and it then catches again in a constant manner

At high speeds, there is a slight judder. Not alarming and manageable.

But brakes like boobs and some other things, we want them perfect without compromise.

I wanted to rebuild my whole system myself. A new master cylinder, brake lines, rotors, pads. But I realised it would cost too much. Heard horror stories that people changed all that only to have the problem remain. Too many thing could go wrong. A worn tyre bearing, suspension, head bearing, a stuck piston caliper.

To cut my fantasy story short, OEM Rotors went for 700$ and China/locally made went for $300. After much reading up, i bit the bullet and went the tight ass route for giggles laughs which many was not willing to take so we all can learn from it. Many said you get what you are paying for. Your life is worth as much as what you are paying for your brakes. I guess its better to overkill on the brakes and throw all you have on them trust me, i was thinking over it for months.

I put the china made (ebay like) waves rotors on and EBC HH brake pads and threw the warped round rotors with "fizzpower" brake pads off the cliff.

If i were to give a figure, the bike now brakes 3-4 times better than before. :thumb:

My ride GSXR 1000

Oh yes, a tip, for wave rotors, the waves of the two front rotors cannot be aligned or they will vibrate when you brake. Have them alternated. Extreme wave rotors are also illegal and you may fail the yearly inspection.

To those who are concerned with rotor wear with brake pads, do a google on their(brake pads your are buying) official website. They will state if you need special rotors to use that brake pads. Dont buy the mech (Those pads will eat your rotor!!) (those china rotors will rust and warp fast) Truth is they probabbly dont have them in stock.

Peace out love you all.

Ride safe!

It depends on what material your pads are . Sintered brake pads will of course "eat" into the rotors. Metal pieces to metal. This is used in very high speed. Aim is to stop. So if our speeds go beyond leagal and you need to stop well, either pay to stop with good rotors or let something else stop us. I'd pay to do the stopping myself.

Why rush? It's the journey, not the destination ... :shades:

I have used Vesrah semi sintered almost a decade....So far only good things about them. Cheap and good...Used for track as well nv failed me....

Their sintered JL series..I dont like their initial bite....Cos I liked pads with good initial bite...

EBC so so compare to Vesrah sintered...And EBC cost 50% more....

Almost all trackie swear by their RJL series....

Just ordered 2 sets of brake pads from wenmoto Honda FJS 400 D6/D7/D8 Silverwing 06-08 Pads Front Lazer Zloch Sintered (HH Type). plus shipping using paypal only $36.

Really cheap sintered pads. Good intial bite. The noise is softer than my Vesrah Semi metallic pads. Highly recommended. During raining no need to pump the brake lever as it bite quite well in rainy days as well. i cant believe there is such a good offer from the online website.

I'm using AP Racing standard brake pads. can get at racewerkz. bukit merah.

initial bite is not as good as SBS but they are very progressive and i can feel them biting more and more and more. feedback is better with the AP Racing, how hard and how long to brake you will know.

58 bucks per pair. not cheap but i guess you get what you pay for. Not as dirty as SBS since my rotors are cleaner. SBS pads produces ALOT of brake dust. no kidding.

Comparing

Bike : Honda shadow 400 98

EBC HH VS Vesrah Green organic pads(Kevlar technology)

EBC HH. Felt like using A sintered metal against metal.

Vesrah : Felt like using plastic to stop against a sintered metal.

Initial bite.

Ebc HH : Maybe a 8.5/10

Vesrah : About a 7/10

Wet weather braking

Ebc HH : No difference. Still excellent. Wet weather doesnt affect the handling of my bike this way.

Vesrah : Goodness. Braking is affected. Reduced by about 20%.

Rotor cleanliess

Ebc HH has more brake dust build up.

Vesrah actually cleans the rotors.

Price

EBC HH : About $25 usd

Vesrah : about $12 usd.

Where you got it? Hylder, just changed to sbs ceramic brake pads, really good in term if braking, noise, and wet braking in Street use. However 6 years ago I used them, they were very dusty hopefully the new formula changes them.
