i notice vehicles like those long lorries, have difficulty going into the other lane to turn towards the outside lane of the main road

Yup, so i guess you saw the whole incident too? I dont mind getting the summon for the double yellow line offence as im sure all riders out here do park illegally for a quick bite/buy too...

From my personnal point of views both are at fault.

But although you broke the law,that doesnt gives him the right to bang you.

Same goes for him making a illegal U-turn.If he complaints to Tp with proof you can do vice versa,his penalty will be much heavier.Points deduction included.

Its private property vs private property.

 

Next time any riders met with such accidents,calm the rider down before knocking some common sense into him.He saw his box got scratched,he wil be in high defensive mode.Normal and common.Everyone is selfish.Talk it out like mature adults and reach a understanding and solve this problem.

If not bring it to the authourities the legal and right way to do insurance claim

you should had call up mars( Mobile accident response services-63332222), they will send down their riders to take statement and photo plus draw out what actually happen to u and your bike.They work for most of the insurer in singapore. no point arguing..his pissed, u r also pissed..let the insurer do the talking.

The point here is this.. You bang and drop someones bike..You pay for it. If im stationery and someone hits me.. Its his fault.

 

I would have settle the whole issue by kicking his bike down if he didnt want to pay for it. My statement is not pointed towards cas cos we havent heard his side of the story yet.. But if it stands like this..Then cas should have fork out the $30 and settled everything on the spot. Gentleman.

 

And btw...Lets not be Paotoh kias and use the law to shoot one another down just because of Parking on Yellow lines or going against traffic.. Dont do that..Its just not Cool.

Just look at Cas, the ST13 guy. Did he response ? Ans is no. May be ST thread guys can call him up to explain to the thread or at least deal with Lane. Anyway $30 IMO for a drop bike is dirt cheap.

+1 to this. You hit a parked vehicle, you pay for it, no matter what illegal parking reason. That's a separate matter. Seems that the other dude found a way to worm out of paying by acting angry. (Brilliant siam tactic on his part? )

Treat it like any other accident, get particulars, plate number, witnesses, evidence, claim from his insurance.

 

Being in an accident is one thing, being a mofo is another, now you have a mofo in an accident, don't give chance.

 

Next time want to ride big heavy bike, learn how to control it first and not blame on illegal parking

Any moving vehicle, that hit a stationary vehicle. Or anything stationary for that matter. Is in the wrong.

 

Lets see. Careless Riding is how much fines and demerit point? Failing to give adequate distance against stationary vehicles....how many metres arh? Failing to maintain certain following distance from object in front, is how much arh? I forgot.

 

Lets not discuss about the riding against traffic, unless the witness is really willing to put name and contact details down to a insurance or police statement. Otherwise, thats argu-able. Same as the illegal parking being not his business. And even if he dared to put it in. The above 2 points will get him into worse off trouble liao.

 

I will say. Go for the fellas insurance. And work out whether you want to go as far with your insurer to do something about his licence. He obviously cannot handle his bike.
